The Shelby Apartments - Alexandria

My husband and I moved into the Shelby in September. Everything has been fantastic. The staff is helpful and attentive, the building is beautiful and secure and the apartment exceeded our expectations. Noise is minimal inside our apartment. The only downside is the traffic trying to get to/from the apartments. Definitely recommend!

We stopped by The Shelby without an appointment just to ask a few questions and were immediately impressed. LaVaughn went above and beyond, taking the time to give us a full tour and answer every question we had. Since moving in, the experience has only gotten better. Dominique is always patient and helpful, even when I have complex questions. The entire staff has been professional, responsive, and welcoming from day one. We couldn’t be happier here and highly recommend The Shelby to anyone looking for a great place to live.

From the moment I arrived, the staff made a great impression—especially Dominique and LaVaughn, who were both warm, helpful, and professional. Any requests I submitted were handled in a timely and efficient manner, which I really appreciated. I’ve had the pleasure of living at The Shelby for the past two years, and I can honestly say it’s been a fantastic experience. From the moment I moved in, the staff made the entire process smooth and stress-free. They were always friendly, professional, and responsive to any questions I had. The apartment itself is spacious, well-maintained, and filled with natural light. The updated appliances, ample closet space, and hardwood floors really made it feel like home from day one. Had a tour scheduled at this property for 12:45pm on 3/9. No staff person was available whatsoever. I received 2 reminders of my tour for this property. I contacted a customer service number and spoke to a person who was clueless as to where and/or if a leasing agent was on the property or "walking the property." Horrible! 0/10. I did not bother rescheduling as this indicates there may be other issues at this property moving forward.
