Carlyle Court: I’ve lived on the property for 12 years. They recently upgraded my unit from carpet to a beautiful sturdy laminated plank flooring. And they continue to make updates to the property while still keeping it an affordable value. 1 bedroom units are usually on a wait due to demand. 2 bedroom units seem to go quickly too.

I've seen bad reviews directly about Sexton Companies, which I can't speak personally on. What I can speak on, for whatever unfprofessional reason, is they do their background checks through AmRent. This company is NOTORIOUS for gathering and reporting false information about prospective tenants, whether its a bogus credit score or a criminal record of somebody else! Because of this reason alone, Sexton Properties is not a good company to rent from. You would think a rental property would screen their background check company prior to using them, Sexton would have seen all the one star reviews and never-ending reports of falsifying information. I don't know why you would employ a company with so many grievances against them. It almost seems like Sexton intentionally hired a bogus backgr

If you're trying to move (which is expensive enough as it is) be wary of applying to any of this company's properties. They charge a $100 holding fee, and if you're denied, they CUT A CHECK AND MAIL IT, which can take 30-45 days!!! So stupid! They know people are in the process of moving and may not be at the same address. They're just hoping that in all the chaos of moving, you'll forget about it and they'll get to KEEP YOUR MONEY when it's returned to them. The one I applied to was Waterford Courts in Lafayette. Don't do it unless you're sure you'll be approved!! They denied me based on my credit score, which was JUST UNDER the requirement.

I have lived at Westbury for a year and I am in the process of moving so I can purchase a home. Sexton properties refuse to give me a ledger or record of leasing. If you have lived in any of their properties and experience this issues. Please reply so I can get in contact with you. I will start a civil action.

Lived in a Sexton owned property for a 2 years. The property I was at was good, no complaints there. Sexton as a whole however is awful. Sexton is a scam of a company. They tried to change my lease mid way through it and force us to have more Renters Insurance. However, my lease does NOT say they can do this. It says they can change a certain section of the lease, but Renters Insurance did not fall under this section. When I pointed this out the my leasing office, they contacted Sexton. Sexton then THREATENED me because I would not allow them to illegally change my lease. They said if I didn't go against my lease and get more Renters Insurance, they would make it where I cannot pay rent.
