The Salvation Army Center of Hope Apartments

Very nice but pretty small apartments. Some of the Lyons security team working the gate have improved their attitudes and have stopped acting like thugs. The maintenance guy keeps the place nice and clean here mostly. I am very grateful for being here. A couple of very nice and dedicated staff who work hard organizing weekly events, and some really great residents. Lots of activities to keep you busy. Met a lot of decent people here, and it's a home for now that I absolutely appreciate. Any negative issues I have experienced here has all been dealt with and I have no complaints as of now with how things have improved. I live there, most people here are on drugs it seems to be quite tolerated, but after looking at who's running things I can't say I'm surprised, I'm off the street and out of the shelter and I'm thankful I have a home. They don't seem to be in any kind of hurry to rerent when someone moves out, some of these rooms have been vacant for months, very sad to see when so many are waiting for a place, but what else can we expect when the government is involved, lot's of red tape and buracracy is always the theme. Only thing I really hate is that they yell on a microphone from 6 in the morning till 10 at night and enjoying a tiny bit of fresh air comes with this loud yelling into my window all day long, it makes me feel like I'm still in an institution rather than a home, tried talking to most of

I recently got into the shelter in Anaheim, this is the place next door, where my friends have to pay rent but I am told if we visit I am going to be immediately exited from the shelter. Last time, I was told that if I come over after being exited, the shelter will notify the apartments, my friends are going to be kicked out of here....they are paying for that and I will need help with more discriminating behavior know if this is illegal?

A lot of love and care went into the building of this place. We are still learning how to learn how to get along. It is very clean and well kept. It's my home, sweet home. Thank you very much. You have a great day.
