This is a wonderful apartment complex to live in. Not only do they maintain the outside of everything just gorgeous but if you have any problems inside, they’re there to fix it immediately the staff is wonderful. I have lived here for only a few months now, but I can 100% say that the office will do everything they can to make sure you are happy here. The maintenance team is fantastic as well; you know that when they leave your apartment, the issue is actually fixed. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My wife Melinda and I have lived at The Sage at 1240 for over five years, and it’s truly become home. The community here is amazing — many of our closest friends are now our neighbors. The staff deserves all the credit. Jenna in the office is the best — always friendly and professional. And Chris, the property maintenance “rock star,” goes above and beyond every time. He’s not only great at what he does but genuinely cares about residents. The location is unbeatable — just minutes from Isle of Palms and downtown Charleston. We feel safe, welcomed, and proud to call this community home. It’s easy to post complaints online, but credit should be given where it’s due. I had a terrible experience living in this apartment complex. The management is incredibly unresponsive and does not hold tenants accountable for their actions. Here are some of the major issues I encountered: • Trash: The trash compactor breaks down almost every other day, causing trash to pile up outside. • Dog Poop Everywhere: The grounds are constantly littered with dog poop because management does not enforce any rules regarding pet waste. It's disgusting and unsanitary. • Bird Nests and Poop in Breezeways: The breezeways are filled with bird nests and droppings, making it unpleasant to walk through. • Dog Park Gate Latch: The latch on the dog park gate was broken for months, leading to an incident where my dogs were attacked. Let me preface this review by saying that the Sage at 1240 has undergone some management and personnel changes since the time I started renting with them to the time I moved out. Originally my apartment was rough around the edges with some things I needed to put maintenance requests in with, no biggie. But in the months that followed it was like pulling teeth to talk to anyone. I would call and nobody would answer, I would walk down to the office during their own scheduled office hours and nobody would be there, granted that some of those times there was a sign that said they were doing a tour, but most of the time there was no sign.
