The Roy

TLDR: If you have the kind of money to consider renting here, there are many better options in the area with better deals and better overall living experiences. I rented from December 2023 to September 2025. My experience at the Roy was mixed. I was lucky enough to first rent with them when it was managed by a company that actually had good relations with and looked out for residents. Unfortunately, I happened to be living there during the transition to a new management company, Verona Residences, a period in which Isaak Romero and Joel Rodriguez served as the property managers, and the overall experience changed noticeably. Pros: - A 24hr gym that has most things you’d need (squat rack, cables, etc) - An amazing maintenance team and cleaning crew, truly kind people. I wish I could give

Good place to live with modern apartments and a convenient location. Just note that units facing Overland Ave (especially with balconies) can be noisy. Issak made the leasing process smooth and answered all my questions, and there’s an on-site agent who responds quickly to emergencies.

Love it here been here since it opened, great building do not feel like just another unit number but an actual person. Shout out to Joel for getting me a great renewal rate, and Leon for taking care of some pending issues that previous management was ignoring.

My roommate and I have been here for 3 years and it has been a truly excellent experience. Quasandra, the leasing manager, and the whole team are super responsive and accommodating. The units are well-equipped and the amenities are very nice and well-maintained. The location of the building is great, close to both the 405 and the 10 and within walking distance of Culver City downtown which is a great area with plenty of nice dining options. I would highly recommend this building for anyone looking to lease in the area.

I had terrible experience with the property manager Gabriella. She didn't disclose additional monthly fees prior to my application. Only after I paid application fees and $200 security deposit, I was told I have to pay extra for parking even if I don't have a car. I decided to move forward with another property because of this unfair practice.
