She’s extremely knowledgeable about the property and always provides clear, helpful information. Her response time is impeccable. Anytime I needed something handled, she made sure it got done quickly and professionally. Ridgeleigh at Van Dorn has been a great place to live so far. The staff is very friendly, and maintenance requests are handled in a timely manner. I haven’t experienced any major issues during my stay, which really speaks to how well the community is managed. This place has a lot of maintenance issues. The apt are older, not luxury. The price is too high for affordable living again not luxury. We had big issues here with maintenance problems . The window's not sealed well. Cabinets suck. The tub creaks loudly I haven’t enjoy my shower since I moved here a month ago Maintenance and the property MANAGMENT should do better . And when I address the problem to the MANAGMENT they said we can’t do anything about it all the apartments are like that . So if you planing on moving here don’t

If you want to deal with loud noisy neighbors above you, then this is the place to be. No matter how many complaints you put with management nothing gets resolved. Update: They responded to this review but not to the actual complaint filed that requested a response. Again… nothing gets resolved.

I have never written a review for anything, but I'd like to warn other tenants. Firstly: Know your rights as a tenant in Virginia. If you are about to move out of The Ridgeleigh, do not let them get away with charging you for normal wear and tear, which they cannot charge for under Virginia law, and do not let them charge you for any alleged damages if they did not proactively notify you to schedule a move-out inspection. I lived in two units at The Ridgeleigh, each for one year. Both times, upon move-out, they tried to charge me for "carpet cleaning"--a $125 fee the first time and a $50 fee the second time--but dropped the charges as soon as we contested them. This apartment used to be nice but no more. There is a common use of drugs and most of the residents smoke so if you have kids be careful what you are getting in to. We lived in the 5919 block and we have friends who still live there with a kid the people above them smoke cigarettes almost all night and use all kinds of drugs. We are glad we moved out but we feel it for our friends who are still there.
