The Residences at the Columbus Building

I've been here for a year and it was an easy process to move in -- everything except internet and parking is included (water, electric, gas, water). There's a gym for us in the building, which is nice -- and I use it a lot. Jessica has been super helpful and responsive, from move in to other inquiries. Parking down the road is a bit of an inconvenience, and I'm a bit old for the downtown nightlife, but if it's your thing, I'd recommend it.

Responsive management and maintenance, gorgeous apartments, great views. Front lobby has been nicely redecorated (Q4 2019) and is now on par with apartment spaces. Elevators remain quite slow and break down sometimes, as noted in other comments, but rarely are both broken at once. Gym and pool both closed due to COVID but do exist and are planned to reopen when safe to do so. High ceilings, brand new stainless steel kitchen appliances (including full size range, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher), and modern bathroom furnishings in all apartments. Window AC units in all apartments. Much more closet space than average for apartments of this size. Highly recommend overall.

I’m not an online review writing person, however after living here for one year, I could not be paid to stay. We have been neglected by all staff and maintenance since the moment we moved in, from being denied access to the freight elevator during move in, to finding we were deceived in our lease and taken advantage of, to having broken washing machines STILL broken six months after we filed the initial maintenance ticket. When there is someone in the leasing office they still lock it, and half of the contact emails we were given for the landlord are dead or are not monitored. I have come home to the scent of sewage in the entire common area of the building. Frequently there are people who do not live here loitering in the entryway. I lived in this building for one year while I was there for a temporary job. My apartment was renovated and very clean when I moved in, in addition the leasing manager Jessica was always helpful and went the extra mile if I needed anything. Great location near bars and restaurants as well - I would highly recommend!

This place doesn’t care about there tenants and only want there money. They don’t offer help when they should be helping with certain things for example the AC since there is no central air in the building. There isn’t anywhere safe to park my car has been broken into as well as other tenants multiple times. The laundry situation is horrible and doesn’t work at all it’s bad and will mess up your clothes. Emergency maintenance doesn’t respond in an emergency time stamp. My floor completely flooded and they didn’t respond until about a hour later. You will have issues once you start living here but they get you with the location because that is what you are really paying for. And you have to pay extra to park in there parking lot, even though it is a high risk parking lot. Don’t move here i
