The Residences at Bishop Place

Aloha future Bishop Residence people. I highly advise not to move into this place. When we moved in we were told our bills would not be higher than 200 but we always got bills of 400+. You also are charged 200 dollars for an unreserved spots but guess what? They have like 50 unreserved spots and 100 people that need the unreserved spots. Meanwhile there are so many reserved spots that stay empty. Many times you have to drive every floor before valet will help you. There was so many times that valet were mad at us for asking for help. One time it was midnight and I was coming home from work and they gave me a reserved empty spot but told me that I NEEDED to wake up at 6 am to move my car to an unreserved spot. My experience with Brian at The Residences at Bishop Place was exceptional. He was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and patient throughout the entire leasing process. Brian took the time to understand our needs and preferences, and he was able to recommend the perfect unit for us. The building itself is fantastic, offering modern amenities and a prime location. However, it's worth noting that the parking spaces can be a bit tight, and the windows don't open. Despite these minor drawbacks, the building's staff, including management, maintenance, security, and the valet team, are truly outstanding. We have recently moved here and we have loved it so far! The staff here are so friendly, professional, and efficient. Everyone does a great job maintaining the area and keeping it secure. The facilities like the gym, storage, & mailroom have been super convenient and we haven’t run into any issues. Really our only “concern” have been the parking stalls, it really is quite small! But the valet/parking staff do a great job assisting you with moving car(s) or finding you a stall to park in. Other than that, the reviews of hearing your neighbors and that the walls are so thin… we don’t hear anything! Maybe the door outside opening every now and then, but other than that? Nothing. If I could put zero stars I would. The leasing team is just trying to move people into units with false hopes and information and they severely overlook the cockroach infestations on select floors in select units. I have fallen into debt due to this apartment complex, and I was moved in for only 3 days where I noticed cockroaches everywhere within the unit. I moved my new bed out as fast as I could so it wouldn’t get infested with cockroaches, but unfortunately it did and the electronics were damaged on it due to the baby cockroaches embedded in them and the mattress itself. Kevin’s (property manager) solution? Spray the base with bug spray and spend more money on a pest control service that should’ve been provided from the very beginning before move in. 1 week into living here. So far so good. The parking is definitely tight but it's doable. Especially for downtown honolulu. The leasing agents Brian and Chris were very helpful, the entire valet and security are all attentive. It genuinely feels luxurious in the common areas. No issues at all in unit. Lots of shops/restaurants in walking distance. Outside of the building there's constant police presence (like 5 cops all on standby outside of the perimeter of the building day/night). No complaints so far.
