The Preserve at Forest Hill Apartments

Living at Preserve at Forest Hill was one of the worst experiences of my life. The place is a complete dump, and the management should be ashamed of how it’s run. Even many longtime Macon residents, when I'd mention to them that I lived here, were quick to recognize the negative notoriety of the complex. * Filthy & Neglected: Dumpsters were always overflowing, trash everywhere, and the property was never properly maintained. The whole place looked run-down and depressing. * Unsafe: I regularly heard gunshots in the complex. Vagrants and seedy people wandered in from Forest Hill Road to snoop around. I personally witnessed drug deals in broad daylight. Some units even had squatters living in them. This property is a magnet for crime. * Noise Nightmare: Day and night, there was extremely

*UPDATE 5/26/24* We have a pretty large leak in our bathroom ceiling so we put in an emergency maintenance request. The request got assigned to someone and soon after the status changed to “in progress”, and yet nobody had come yet. So we put in a 2nd request specifying that no one had arrive yet and now that request shows as assigned to someone and in progress. ITS BEEN OVER 3 HOURS NO ONE HAS SHOWN UP. DO NOT RENT HERE. MANAGEMENT IS TERRIBLE AND DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR WELL-BEING. While the property itself is beautiful, the apartment my family and I moved into was NOT ready. Literally the worst place there is to rent from if you’re thinking about moving here do yourself a favor a RUN. This place not only has the worst management but is absolutely disgusting. They will leave the dumpsters over filled to where the whole property smells like trash. Maintenance takes his sweet time to complete any task. People roam at night and will peep through windows and look into cars.i have personally been upstairs before and maintenance has let his self in un announced just walked right in like it was his own home. Everyone that works here is very unprofessional, disrespectful, and rude they will act like you asking them to do something that is a PART of THEIR job is bothering them as if they aren’t suppose to do anything!

I posted before but this is an update, They honestly need Alex back. This is the worse experience I ever had at an apartment. Management is extremely rude and be there when they feel like it. The pool has NOT been cleaned in months and these kids out for the summer. Alex use to get the pool cleaned it seem like every week. You can hear frogs from it at night and I’m sure it’s dead cicadas in there. I’m pretty sure they can see it from the leasing office balcony how can y’all look at that dirty mess every day and not complain ? Other residents say they brought up the pool and management just brush it off. I have lived in this apartment complex for almost 3 years at first we had really bad management but it was known as the magnolia apartment before now it’s known as the preserve they have been doing great necessary updates to the apartments and even improving the playground pools and fire pit area. The apartment manager actually called me back same day about my questions and she was very personable and polity. Neighbors are great. There are a lot of fur babies around and my puppers loves having neighborhood friends. Definitely sad that we will be moving and leaving such a good place.
