The Poythress Apartments

This place, all around, is just not great. I have resided here for two years and have had consistent issues with AC, appliances, water damage, and much more. Upon move in, the place was covered in dirt and cobwebs. Along with that, the microwave was broken, the dishwasher was in pieces and the paint on the window sill is so ancient that it literally disintegrates in your hand. With managers that don't answer the phone, semi-consistent serious fiscal and fee issues due to disorganization on their end, and a BUNCH of sneaky ways to charge insane amounts, ($300 dollar renewal fees, $85 fire alarm battery change, multiple application fees as to not technically break the law of Virginias 50-dollar-max-appartment-app-fee) this apartment makes it clear that you do NOT matter; you are only a walle

This place is AWFUL ! After giving them a second chance renewing my lease for an additional 12 months (up- priced) the management is worst than a group of high schoolers without any regard for the work they do or issues they handle. That being said this is an old building but maintenance issues are handled lacklusterly and the residents take advantage... often leaving trash in common areas and finding dog feceses on a regular basis. The cleaning staff are not consistent and gym equipment is broken. Complaining to this complex has left me no resolve but to end my lease and never lease with Thalhimer again. Since turning in my notice there has been apartment tours scheduled without notice and once an open house where the apt staff didn’t even stay the whole time and I had prospective residen

My first day I could even get in with the code they gave me. No parking there so I have no idea of where to park. Them when I called and they gave Mr another code. The elevator was not working and I am on the third floor.
