I lived at Pines Apartments (Building 60, Descanso Drive) for 15 months. The location is peaceful, and the view from my apartment faced an orange grove, which gave a nice sense of privacy. However, there were some major drawbacks: • The building is quite old, and the elevator was out of service at least 2–3 times a month, sometimes for even longer periods. On one occasion, my family and I got stuck inside for an hour. • When my in-law came to visit, he also got trapped in the elevator for about 1.5 hours. He pressed the emergency button, but customer care told him to call me instead of sending help directly. The problem was there’s no phone coverage inside the elevator, so he couldn’t call anyone. Meanwhile, customer care left me a voicemail while I was in a work meeting, which I only saw

I’ve lived at Irvine apts at the redwoods for about two years and the Maintenance team under the direction of Amy has been a great experience. All I can say is that hector, Danial, Milo, just to name a few has always fixed my issues withen the same day anything from clogged pipes to garbage disposals. They always maintained a professional and courteous demeanor. This is the one thing that I look for when considering to be a tenant anywhere. How well the exterior is maintained and how efficient the maintenance team is when getting issues resolved with the understanding that sometimes they go through certain vendors that scheduling could be put off, for example air conditioning replacements. However, once it was fixed after a few weeks do to scheduling and other issues. It operated perfectly

Don't rent this apartment. Turn on the security cameras while I'm on Thanksgiving break. Whoever found the apartment entered my room unannounced. They roughed up repairs on the ceiling and left a floor full of supplies. They didn't even isolate the place for repairs, and I saw my cat walking around by the paint bucket. When I called the apartment, they were like robots with no help or explanation. They kept repeating that they emailed me, but when I asked for the proof, they couldn't provide it, they just kept repeating it. The worst, most empathetic apartment in the Bay Area. 0/5, do not rent if you have a pet.

Absolutely the worst move in experience. The resident services at the Pines is absolutely useless. I called them exactly 18 times and left 3 voicemails but no one responded or reached back to me. Once I get my keys and go to my apartment, I realize that the front door does not have a lock. I call the emergency maintenance and they say that I'm not in the system yet and immediately transfer my call to the resident services (before I could tell them that the resident services are not picking up any calls) and of course the resident services dont pick up my call. So I'm just left with my furniture in an apartment with no lock. I already regret moving to this place and would definitely let all my friends and colleagues know to stay away.

#Shameless Management. Elevators break down every week. And this time it has been broken for 2-3 weeks with no response back from management and no sign that any current work to repair it is being done. The tenants should explore that as per California law, because management never bothers to fix it, whether tenants can stop paying rent. "When an elevator goes out of service in a residential building, the Fair Housing Act (FHA) requires housing providers to take specific actions to ensure that residents, especially those with disabilities, are not unduly affected. Here are the key points housing providers must follow: Notification: All residents must be promptly informed of the elevator outage. Notifications should be made in a format that is accessible to all residents, including those
