The Parks Historic Walter Reed

What a surprise! I am very impressed with the upgrade. May the DMV have a safe, clean, inclusive vibe as the warmer weather presents.

My first snow at The Parks. It was wonderful. The best part, I didn't have to shovel any snow. A team cleared the streets and sidewalks and my car was in the garage, no snow to clean off. Whole Foods was open and folks were out enjoying the snow.

The Parks is a new development on the site of the Walter Reed Army Hospital in Washington, DC.. It's still a work in progress, but the developers have made certain areas accessible to nearby residents with outdoor concerts, movies, etc. The attached photo shows the original hospital building which, along with other historic buildings, will be preserved and eventually repurposed.

Open air basin serves as an event venue. Nice space, trees on the perimeter.

Love the Whole Foods here and the area itself is beautiful not to mention it’s still developing but I went on a tour for a home there and I was impressed. It’s waking distance from Silver Spring MD and many more locations.
