Over the past year, my experience renting with this company was generally positive. Maintenance requests were handled promptly, and most of the staff were friendly, professional, and respectful. Unfortunately, my overall experience was overshadowed by my interactions with Brandi, whose lack of empathy and compassion was deeply disappointing. My issue began when I discovered that the property I was renting still had a temporary builders’ meter attached. As a result, I had been billed for electricity usage from both the builders’ meter and my own meter for the entire duration of my lease. When I contacted Greenville Utilities, I was informed that reimbursement would need to come from the property owners or builders. They are easy to work with and provide high quality customer service. Had a great experience with them, and Brandi made contacting them especially hassle-free. Would definitely recommend them for your real estate needs!

Very upset with this company. When i first moved in there were huge Roaches in every single room dead. There was also huge gaps in the bedroom floors where anything could crawl through. There was also snakes jumping in and out of the bushes in the front yard. There was also a problem with the gas line. They sent a company out and they said there was no issue so the city came out and said there was a smell of gas. Now you tell me...if you had a strong smell of gas would you continue to keep the gas on? There was also a mold issue that was covered up and they tried to play the blame game. Even my daughter's car parked by this house was full of mold. Charged me $101.25 for 4 blinds.$684.85 because the gas was turned off because of a severe gas smell. In my nearly 15+ years of renting, I have never encountered any issues with rental companies or private landlords. However, this time is an exception. We rented a property from the Overton group and unfortunately, we were faced with a significant mice infestation. When we brought this concern to their attention, they simply dismissed it by saying that living near a farm means having mice is inevitable. While it is true that mice can be found near farmland, the extent of the infestation was appalling. We had already killed over 75 mice, and the problem seemed to be escalating rapidly. If I could give zero stars I would! If you are an ECU student and rent a home from Overton Group good luck. Our house was filled with mold, they would take forever to come to do repairs and never fully fixed anything. Our house was constantly in need of something because they don't update any appliances and basically just do the bare minimum. They do not care about their college homes and it shows. I could go on and on!
