The Overlook at City View

David Zaluskey is the best property manager I have had while living in Richmond, and I've been with 4 different properties. He keeps the property running smoothly, it's clean, it's beautiful, it's quiet. Staff doesn't bother the tenants without due cause. I wish I had not had to leave! The apartment was great, too, in good shape, and maintenance was kept up so well. I miss my big spacious closet so much.

Living here has been a frustrating experience from the very start. The week I moved in, before I even arrived, my packages were stolen. The management team did nothing to help me recover them and barely made an effort to address the situation. Since moving in, things in my apartment have been broken, and maintenance has not shown up once to fix them. Overall, the complex has shown a lack of care for its residents, and it feels like any issues are brushed off instead of properly handled. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a reliable and supportive living environment.

I lived here 5 years (June 2020 - Two Weeks Ago). I was in a loft style 1br 1.5 bath. The apartments themselves are nice, what you expect from new builds. I was the first in my apt so take that into consideration. Management was great the entire time I lived here. Everyone from Gaby - DJ - David - Eva have been great to deal with. Maintenance issues were fixed quick. I had an issue where my car was damaged from the parking garage and they worked with me to fix everything. I only moved out because I wanted more space/2br in a different area. I'd recommend this building 100%.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I absolutely would. Do not waste your time or money living here. The front office is completely unserious and dismissive — they do not take theft of packages seriously at all, and when you bring up issues, you’re met with excuses instead of solutions. On top of that, maintenance is nonexistent. We have been complaining about broken things since the day we moved in, and not a single issue has been fixed. It feels like once they have your lease signed, they stop caring about residents altogether. This place is nothing but a headache, and I would never recommend anyone live here. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere, because City View Row is not worth it.

Recently moved in here and filled out the move-in inspection sheet. I was thorough with my notes, just thinking I needed to note every little thing as previous landlords have burned me in the past when it came time for move-out. If you know, you know. For the first time in my renting experience, this complex’s maintenance team was sent to correct everything I had noted!! What an incredible surprise! The maintenance person was kind, thorough, and left my apartment in great shape. Thank you, Overlook team!
