The Overlook Apartments

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at The Overlook Apartments, and I’d give zero stars if I could. My daughter is a university student and lives in one of the apartments, and when I come to visit her, I honestly feel uncomfortable being there. The entire complex smells like weed smoke, including inside the apartments where it seeps through the walls. There are often large groups of people crowded around cars playing very loud music and smoking. It does not feel like a safe place whatsoever. My daughter has mentioned that people party and fight at all hours of the night, and she can barely sleep or study because of it. She has also, on more than one occasion, seen people freely walking around the property drinking alcohol and brandishing firearms. When I come to visit, there are

Do Not….I Repeat Do Not bring your hard earned money here at the overlook apartment…you’ll regret it later!!!! Nasty attitude, unprofessional the one that thinks she can talks to you any kind of way Callie Rocha gave me racism!!!! It won’t be long before they have a lawsuit watch!!! Review should be a 1.1 rating..if they stop deleting reviews..Now I won’t ever tell a lie…The best thing they have going at the overlook…it’s a young man name Demarcus and a young lady name Brittany that works there….They’re the only reason why I chose these apartment for my son that’s in school at A&M!! They turn the water off every other day for maintenance. My daughter has been blocked in her apartment by maintenance trucks and she couldn’t leave for work. Management since emails telling them that they aren’t allowed to have anything but one chair by their door and if there is anything by the door, it will be removed and the tenants will be charged. They did not say anything about doormat being allowed. Who does not allow door mats? There are guns being fired every couple of days.

I highly recommend The Overlook. The apartment is exactly as pictured on the website and the office staff are professional and responsive! I placed a maintenance request for a breaker that kept tripping and had someone in the apartment less than 10 minutes later. They solved the problem and also changed the furnace filter while there. Very little noise from the apartments around me. Definitely take a look!

I lived here for over 1 year which was a nightmare. A week later the air conditioning started leaking water due to lack of maintenance. The worst happened when a pipe broke, causing flooding in the 4am. They installed a machine to extract the old moisture and after 2 days it started releasing water too. Manager Callie Armstrong is a rude and aggressive woman. After 15 days they began to repair the pipe and the apartment flooded again. The manager did not give us the option to move to another apartment or terminate the contract. 3 months later, due to rain, the apartment flooded again in the 4am, each time the nightmare became worse. This time the water extraction equipment was different and its service was better, with new equipment. The apartment is a place where you can hear all the nois
