The New House Company

They are a company I would NOT recommend. They don't care about your time or who they "employee" to do maintance(they cover up alot of maintenance issues). You definitely can not drink the water here, which I was told by The New House Company and you will definitely realize it. I was also told the first year I was here that the house was going to be powerwashed, never was(it looks horrible). I asked about it and never got a response. They have someone to cut the grass but they do not weedeat or clear the driveway when it snows. There is a leak at the back door which evidently "maintance" can not get fixed.

Applied for a "perfect Oasis/Private Cabin" to turn around and go see it and it looks/smells run down and the storage building isn't worth or able to store anything in it, the "Private" living is not Private at all, there are people less than 100 feet away from the cabin, told them I didn't think it was worth living in and wanted a refund, just to be laughed at and told I wasn't getting a refund and that they did all the work. When in fact, I did the work needed to apply for this property, 6300 Patterson Mill Rd, Crozet, VA. WOULD NOT EVER RECOMMEND GOING THROUGH SCAMMERS LIKE THIS!!!!! It is apauling and not professional at all to false advertise a place as such and it not be what anything like they described. Run down is being nice about it.

Applied for a property and was NEVER told there was another application in on it. All 4 of my housemates and I paid 50/each for the application fee. A couple days later we were told property has already been leased and no refund would be sent. Wouldn’t recommend living with a company that likes to scam teenagers. Very disappointed.

The New House Company has completely redesigned themselves in the past couple years. The office is remodeled and inviting, the new leasing agents are attentive and diligent. I have not had a bad experience with them yet, as I will continue to give them my service. They have only improved.

I rented from them for 2 years and always paid my rent on time. They were always quick to repair leaky toilets or sinks. You will probably have to pay a carpet cleaning company as part of the deal ($150) when you leave. Also they can begin showing your place 3 months before you leave so be ready for that! When I received my deposit back they had subtracted $200 for lightbulbs and a sewn shade! ..I spoke with Amy and questioned the charges and she returned the $200!
