The Monika Apartments

First of all the property manager is stellar. Annie is polite, timely and extremely helpful. She does everything possible to make your move-in experience quick and easy. I cannot compliment her enough. My sister has lived here for 5 years and I’ve visited multiple times before moving her myself. There is an even a night patrol on the parking lot (since I’ve seen people prowling vehicles at the mall down the street, I am very glad our complex has night security). It’s a safe little complex close to services, and it’s kept fairly well. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because some of the residents have not learned the courtesy to clean up after their dogs, and that may be irksome for those looking for a new apartment. If I could give this property 0 stars I would. We had moved in just as they were finishing construction. The apartments look incredibly nice, but don’t be deceived. They are poorly constructed and used cheap materials to get the job done. The doors to the outside were not sealed properly. You could feel a breeze in the winter. The walls are thin, so be prepared to hear your neighbors domestic disputes and late night parties. We could literally hear what our neighbors were fighting about. We had to call security and put in noise complaints over 2 dozen times in the two years we lived there and very little was done to help the situation. I feel sorry for the people living in our old unit as I’m pretty sure the same neighbors are inhabiting those other units. It’s set right on a noisy part

Okay here is my honest detailed review of The Monika, after living there for awhile. The Neighbors This is multifamily housing. There are a good amount of children and families throughout the complex, so when applying, keep this in mind. I personally have lived below two different tenants and have had no crazy issues with noise at all. These are apartments so you can expect to hear the normal noises of living (e.g. walking, vacuuming, toilets being flushed, music, etc.) I could hear pets running around as well, and barking occasionally. People here don’t seem to pick up after themselves. There is pet waste throughout the complex and especially in the dog area provided. There are also cigarette butts everywhere as well. The community has been reminded countless times to pick up their garb

They say your hold of deposit of $100 is refunded if before 72 hours. They lied point blank after the fact. Very undermined and would not do any business with a person or corporation like this. I am a previous realtor in multiple states and this is disgraceful to say the least. There is no assigned parking so good luck on that.

We helped my daughter move in to her 1st apartment- At first glance it was a very nice place, however looks like they rushed the build, cut corners, and didn't have experience in making a place that will last not only for the tenant- but owners costs too. They have air conditioners built in- that leak condensation onto the floor, it already has rust in it, and daughter is first tenant that had ever lived in apartment. (cold outside+ warm inside) I cleaned it up and then realized that they obviously ran the a/c during construction and when the sheet-rocking was done- because is was full of sheetrock dust. The a/c is cheap and anyone who has used a window unit knows you have to clean the filter to keep it running effectively and also for allergens- the way its built- u will break it tr
