The Monaco at Waterford Lakes

I lived here on two separate occasions for just over three years and can say it’s one of the best choices in the area. Since the first time I moved here in 2020, the prices have always beat surrounding apartments. The location is great, and you’re guaranteed a balcony plus upgraded appliances. Always felt safe walking around the complex at night. The only cons were that the bathrooms are on the small side & amenities are minimal. The pool area is big and clean so this didn’t really bother me. The current office staff is very nice and I can honestly say they actually listen to your concerns. They did actively help to resolve any issues I had during my stay. Would recommend for college students, families, etc!

We moved into a 2 bedroom apartment at the Monaco in 2021. We loved the floorpans and kitchen. The amenities are pretty decent with 2 separate pools. However, in 2022 we received a note in our door that construction on our building would begin in 2 weeks - extremely short notice. When the construction began, my husband and I were woken up each morning at 8a to jackhammers right outside of our window. We both work from home and this noise continued all day making it extremely difficult to work. Then we received a notice that construction would begin INSIDE of our apartment. One day we walked into our home to find that contractors had entered and handled our dog without us present. The Monaco Apartments at Waterford Lakes offers great value. The rent is competitive, but the service is what really makes this place stand out. The entire staff, from the front office to maintenance to management, is fantastic—always friendly, helpful, and responsive. You can tell they genuinely care about resident satisfaction. The location is excellent—very convenient yet surprisingly quiet. I was initially worried about road noise, but it hasn't been an issue. It's also worth noting that the one-bedroom apartments easily fit a king-size bed. In summary, after two months I'm thrilled with my choice.

I have been living here over a year now and have experienced some issues like pet poop not being cleaned up from the pool and sidewalks. The worst thing, however, is the water. This is the second time this week that the water has just been cut unannounced. Home with an infant without water and when I called them they say another two hours or more. Without prior notice!!! So there is no water in the apartment. No email no notice so I could not have prepared for this. Absolutely irresponsible!

Even though we spent two days apartment hunting, Jalie and the other staff at the Monaco were the only ones to make us feel at home! She was personable, truthful, and up front about costs, and tried to find the best deal for us. Once we walked into the apartment, it was a done deal. Gorgeous kitchen, shiny new appliances, large closets, everything you could ask for! And that's just the inside! Even just driving onto the property really felt like we belonged. So excited to call this place home!
