The staff is very friendly and attentive. They are the biggest reason to live here because they really do care. Also the wonderful dog park (which is turfed and big). The apartments are nice, big (for West Chester) and have decent appliances. The 1 bedroom kitchens are small but the two bedroom apartments have nice kitchens. The laundry machines in the apartments are reliable. My biggest issue with my apartment is the poor design choice to place the AC in the hallway closet (usually the largest closet) and I have had a neighbors AC leak into my apartment on multiple occasions. It’s incredibly frustrating. Also the buildings are old and the hallways need work. They take more care of the grounds/ landscaping than they do the hallways (carpet seems 100 years old). The landscaping is r
Living here has truly improved recently. When I come back at night, the lot has plenty of spaces. Way to go! They should continue towing from an already empty parking lot, because that genuinely makes me want to renew my lease. It will attract new residents as well. Keep up the good work! Even better, when I wake up in the morning and can’t find my car, Marissa won’t tell me where it was taken, and Staci refused to talk to me. Excellent customer service! I loved spending hours tracking it down, getting an uber to the bank for $350, then another Uber to the slums of Conshohocken. What an opportunity to see Montgomery County and take a needed day off! The cherry on top of living here was when this girl I met at Barnaby’s found her car gone in the morning. It was an awkward day after, and she
Upset about “Living in Hell” I’m “Living in Hell” in apartment 518 302 E Marshall St, West Chester, PA 19380. I looked for some time for an apartment with enough closet space for my needs and The Metropolitan West Chester provided it, so I moved into a second floor apartment on August 1, 2025. At the time of summer my move in I didn’t know there was a Fitness Center on the first floor below my apartment, because my A/C was always running which drowned out the sounds. In addition the apartment above me on the third floor was empty, so all was quiet and peaceful. After living here for around 4 months autumn came and I turned my A/C off and started being annoyed by the sound of the treadmill the occupants were using in the Fitness Center. After living here for around 5 months someone move
Everything leaks, ceiling, bathroom fan, windows, hallways, but they are very quick to respond. Maintenance is awesome and it's just a very old building, not their fault (former convent). Shout out to John! I have an insane centipede issue from high humidity and poor venting. the new property manager doesn't visit my unit for issues ever, can't even get her on the phone or in the office. I miss when Colleen would come over to help me. chose here because it is safe, close to town, nice gym, nice pool, flexible lease options, 24/7 maintenance, friendly staff, easy commute for me to class when i was a grad student, and priced well. Plenty of parking used to be THE selling point especially in the boro. Unfortunately not a thing anymore since the metro starting towing cars for dumb reasons. M
I do not live at the Metropolitan but my boyfriend does. My car was towed by Giannone Company even while my car was in “Visitors Lot”. I have been going & staying over, even days at a time, for a year now & have never had an issue. Giannone & The Metropolitan have a contract to check every car in the entire complex & take anything that is not up to “guidelines”. The “visitors lot” in multiple emails to residents is not specified & only is communicated as “behind the north building”. Before Giannone Company took over, May 1, 2025, there was a “Visitors Lot” sign confirming which lot is correctly identified as & to be a safe parking space for your vehicle. The Metropolitan claims that they are trying to get signage back up & posted but it has been 5 months now since they signed with Giannone
