The Max

This building is the worst building in NYC to live in—stay far away from it. Here is a list of our experiences living here: - Hallways are constantly left with food scraps, garbage, and animal feces and are never routinely cleaned. - PESTS, PESTS, PESTS — please read the HPD building profile and Who Owns What. The building has a record of mice and roaches, which is no surprise given that they do not routinely clean anything. - Trash rooms are left in deplorable conditions, with diapers, women’s sanitary products, and food scraps all over the garbage rooms and floors. - Leasing will not tell you that there is a required $50 amenity fee per person for the gym and roof. The roof is constantly used for large personal parties, the basketball courts are always taken over by groups of people who

A building is only as good as it's maintenance! Especially in NYC. In my lifetime, I've lived in a number of apartments in different neighborhoods in Manhattan. After living 6 years at The Max so far, I must commend how amazing the building is. From The Max's friendly and professional doormen to its amenities and facilities to the building's highly capable maintenance team (Jay, Ali, Ali) - The Max is the best place to call home. The maintenance team is knowledgeable, efficient and attentive. Everyone is always there whenever you need them - 24/7!

Resident for two years. Fabulous building and location to river and Columbus Circle are excellent. Hudson Market across the street; facilities team is A+. Front Desk crew are the best. I always felt safe living there. Highly recommend. Also, please note - some of the negative reviews on here are people who: a) did not live in our building b) people who did not utilize the simple apps to report repair needs, etc. and instead complained over email I was an actual resident and this review is my own.

There are many bad bugs in the apartment! Cockroaches, spiders. So disgusting! And there were no one came to help me! When you sign the contract, everything will begin to change! Do not move in the building! Extremely bad!

I am moving out tomorrow and I just wanted to give a big shoutout to the wonderful people who work here, especially the doormen and the maintenance staff. Peter, Mercem, and Marco (forgive me if I misspelled) were especially helpful and nice the whole time I stayed. I always felt welcomed here. The building was overall nice too, but I genuinely think the best part about this place is the people who work here and live here. Personally I am a dog owner, and the neighbors here are very friendly and supportive about it too. I enjoyed the sense of community and I will miss it a lot when I move!
