The Loraine Apartments

I want to thank Lisa from leasing for taking care of a time sensitive issue for me immediately while simultaneously helping 4 other current/incoming tenants. She was awesome, thanks! This review is for the maintenance team that came and replaced my dryer. Thank you, that was physically demanding work. I sincerely appreciate it.

Wouldn't recommend unless you are a HEAVY sleeper. The building is very nice and neighbors were quite but you can here EVERYTHING happening on the street. From live 2am weeknight trombone performances to getting woken up every single night by street sweepers if you can't sleep through loud noises this is not the place to live. If you can tolerate that this is probably the best deal for a downtown apartment you'll find. It really is a friendly community in a quaint historical building. But the NOISE caused me countless sleepless nights over the past year. Also on more than one equation the city of Norfolk shutdown streets downtown with no warning which made it impossible to get home. If you want the city living experience this isn't a horrible option but it does have it's drawbacks. Think h

I stayed at the Loraine for a year and this was the best place to live in Norfolk! Night life is crazy and i never had any problems with property managements because they’re always respond to any concerns and questions. I wish I could stayed but if ever move back to norfolk I’ll definitely stay there again!!! Thank you for the best experience!!!

Just submitted and got approved for an apartment at The Loraine with the help of Klarissa, who was working at the office when I arrived for my appointment. She was so genuine in her attempt to help me find apartment that I liked, and took the time to talk over the details of each floor plan and even how I could arrange my furniture. All of my stress that had built up over an entire day of apartment shopping melted away and I was so relieved and assured I was in good hands. She even mentioned details such as a new gym opening up across the street, as well as a new IKEA about 20 minutes away. Thank you so much Klarissa! You could tell that they care about their residents at this building and treat them with respect and attention to detail. I am looking forward to finalizing my final apartmen
