The Lookout O4W

I had a very disappointing move-in experience at The Lookout 04W. When I received my keys and entered my unit, it was clearly not ready. The walls were not properly painted, the apartment had not been cleaned, there was dust all over the appliances, and the carpet was dirty. I moved in over the weekend and had no choice but to place all of my belongings into an unprepared, unclean unit. Although vendors eventually came out to address some of the issues, there was no real accountability for the inconvenience. Despite the clear oversight, no rent concession was offered. After repeatedly expressing my concerns, I was given a $100 gift card, which did not feel proportional to the situation. I toured this complex and I'm super impressed! Tyler assisted me and was very helpful and personable. She made me feel at home and I hadn't even made my decision at that point. The grounds are nice. They are renovating the courtyard, however, the roof with the city view is niiiice! The 2-level gym is also a plus! They also have a sexy lounge area that is great for events and meet-ups. The elevators work well and are clean. There are on-site officers that offer security as well. I visited 3 separate times and each time, the staff were very helpful and cheerful. Tiffany helped me on my 2nd tour and her knowledge and personality is great! I can tell both Tyler and Tiffany enjoy what they do and this shows in their eagerness to assist. Tyler was AMAZING! She is very thorough and very detailed when it came to explaining the property and communication. She explained to me things to do in the neighborhood, places to eat, and explained the property so well. her communication was everything. she made sure I stayed in the loop with any specials, and kept me updated on any units. she also took it upon herself to help me apply for a unit where she would recommend for a woman who lives alone to choose. very kind sweet and genuine person! Tyler is the BEST! The entire staff is filled with great vibes and it played a big role in me choosing to apply to this Apartment complex.

I have really tried to give them the benefit of the doubt in this situation, but I had to leave a review because I’m at my breaking point. When I moved in, there was a dent/hole in the floor of my shower (as if the previous tenant dropped a bowling ball into it). I put in a work order the week I moved in, they came in and caulked it up, said not to use it over the weekend (48 hrs), and I obliged. This past week, the hole started to open back up (shocker) and it apparently caused my shower to leak into the two apartments below me. I was told by the office yesterday that they’d get a contractor to come out, and that they’d find me a different unit to use the shower in for the meantime. I have lived at The Lookout for a little over a year now & all my experiences have been great. However, one team member in particular deserves a special shout-out. And that is Christopher from maintenance. Always carries a kind smile and provides quick solutions to my ever-so random service requests while on the job. And is a warm welcoming neighbor off the job. Definitely the type of person that makes living at Lookout unique from other buildings in the city.
