My wife and I have been living at the lookout for almost 3 years now. In the middle of that was a transition in ownership. Which is definitely tough as rules change etc. I think the management team and Miranda have been the top reason my wife and I have enjoyed our experience. Unlike other apartment managers we’ve had in the past, she’s always looking to serve and find way to help us out! The worst part of the Lookout is car issues. We’ve had parts from my wife’s Kia stolen that we had to replace and my car was recently dinged up. If more security cameras were in place, then I think we’d be able to mitigate some of that. But we are in Dallas, so all things considering this is pretty good! My wife and I have never felt unsafe in the complex. But overall grateful to Miranda and the team

Do NOT move here, they stop taking care of the pool after Labor Day! The first two photos were taken today, 9/11 and the major algae bloom was taken on Labor Day, 9/2/24. Today is 89 degrees Fahrenheit and I’m sure people want to swim, but it’s honestly a health risk at this point. Very disgusting! The pool was scheduled to close from the 2nd to the 5th for “cleaning” but there is clearly dirt and grime on the bottom still. There have been algae blooms all week. The hallways are filled with stains and never vacuumed, the walls are so beat up. On Labor Day weekend the garbages were left to rot for the long Labor Day weekend in the hallways. I couldn’t even walk past it smelled like rotten diaper bags. My Fiancé complained more than 3 times about the hallways and walls and nothing has been d

The Lookout is a lovely complex. Miranda and Tonya are very sweet. However, I was bummed to find out (after I already paid $215 non-refundable fee) that you need to have income that is THREE times the monthly rental rate. It’s not the industry standard so I would have preferred they made that very clear up front. My rent “now" is the exact same as I would be paying at The Lookout -so it never crossed my mind that it would be an issue. I’m just very disappointed as I was really looking forward to living there and it’s tough to eat $200+ prior to the holidays and also have my credit score lowered due to it. :-(

The airbnbs are disruptive and violate our safety and peace. Second hand smoke that may have you reconsidering! Noise from parties in the air bnb and domestic disputes may make you think about the security here. No screening for these people! Of good note: Management has improved greatly. There were storage break in issues that have been resolved. The maintenance staff is amazing. But now, we are going backwards by allowing air bnbs on the third floor that are very disruptive. A major safety concern with strangers entering the complex — noises - slamming doors, yelling screaming, and — smell issues— due to smoking/hotboxing inside the apartment our apartment now smells like a lease violation, and it makes us both sick. Hopefully, management fixes this new headache and restores our commun

Make certain they tell you up front that the only way to qualify to rent is 3x your salary (most places aren't even close to that). Don't pay the application fee until you have done the math in front of them and they agree that you will be approved. They seem to just want your money (which is all non-refundable). I've also heard from other who live there that there have been a ton of break in's into cars and storage units. So proceed with extreme caution before filling out an application and living there.
