The Lodge at Trails Edge Apartments

The only good thing about this place is the Monon access. Many unresolved issues. The kitchen sink backs up with sewage water from units above us, this has happened multiple times now. Once it flooded so bad in the unit next to us that it creeped under the shared wall into out unit. The closet shelving system ripped out of the wall after several previous patchwork repairs with only the weight of clothes on it. When it rains it leaks inside the main entrance hallway. I tried letting management know about this, still with no resolve. Many people smoke inside their units - again no resolve. For several weeks there have been two (recently now just one) shipping containers sitting in the parking lot blocking regular traffic flow. After a devastating fire, I was in a hurry to find a new home - not to mention stressed, exhausted, and scared. The Lodge not only moved very quickly, but they were patient and kind. Arianna is exactly the kind of person I needed to get me through this transition. Aside from my own personal experience/unique circumstances, the property is lovely. Well-kept grounds, ample amenities, cozy, accessible, great location, and the maintenance crew is top notch. If The Lodge doesn’t end up being just right for you, I strongly recommend considering another Birge & Held property.

it’s a great apartment complex, truly a hidden gem of Indianapolis. The sidewalks stay clear in winter, the maintenance team is very quick, responsive, and personable, and rent is more competitive than many other places nearby. Amenities like the dishwasher and the fridge are brand-name, the gas stove is amazing, and the apartment interior is high-quality build. I would definitely recommend this apartment complex to anyone looking to live in the North-Indianapolis area!

Only lived here for a 1 year lease, and for good reason. They had the lease end one week into a month just to squeeze out an extra month of rent. They scheduled apartment inspections at such broad times that would be impossible to stay home and monitor. And they clearly don't fix anything between tenants cause my apartment was in shambles on arrival, but they had the nerve to charge a cleaning fee. And they stopped answering maintenance calls for the last 2 months, then added what was broken to the list of damages. For the prices they charge, you'd think you'd be getting at least some level of quality assurance, but I guarantee there's not an apartment in that place that's truly worth more than $900 a month

I made a tour appointment same day and when I arrived, Nancy in the leasing office went over floor plans and pricing in detail. The tour of the property and a two bedroom unit was thorough, giving me a good idea of what becoming a resident there would be like. Very good first impression.
