The Landing at Westmott Apartments

I have lived here to 3 years and can say this property is very safe. When I call the office someone answers, which a lot of properties just let you go to voicemail. The amenities are very good and you have 2 workout gyms to choose from. There are 2 different areas to play billiards, relax or have a get- together/party. There have to be at least 6 different grills throughout the property. The pool area is also very nice. I appreciate management and the leasing agents for being very helpful with my needs. I have only had to call maintenance once and they were very responsive and respectful. I need a 2 bed 2 bath now and I am staying here just transferring to another unit. I had a terrible experience living here. Management does not care about residents at all. They are unhelpful, controlling, and constantly interfering in how you live your own life. They try to dictate everything from decorations to how your unit should look as if it’s not your home. They wouldn’t allow Christmas decorations to stay up after Christmas Day, which is honestly ridiculous. Instead of focusing on real issues, they micromanage residents and make the environment uncomfortable and stressful. If you value peace, privacy, and respectful management, do not live here.

I’ve lived at The Landing at Westmott and have been extremely disappointed with how maintenance and communication have been handled. I submitted a repair request for my fireplace on August 29, followed by another on October 23. Over the past three+ months, I have sent multiple follow-up emails and spoken with the leasing office several times. Despite this, I have received no firm timeline, no resolution, and multiple follow-ups have gone unanswered. I understand that vendor delays can happen, but the lack of communication from the leasing office has been the most frustrating part. The fireplace was an advertised amenity and one of the reasons I chose this apartment, yet there has been no clear plan to fix it and no proactive outreach. I don’t normally write bad reviews but this has been a complete nightmare. I’m not sure where to even begin. My dad lived here for exactly 6 months, he had ESA animals that WERE listed on the application from the very beginning. They tried to evict him because of this, we had to hire an attorney, and of course my dad won his case. They refused to give us the rent bond back (which never shouldn’t been applied since he has never been late paying rent) PLUS the pet fee of $800 they charged us (due to FHA you can’t charge for ESA’s). We had to take them to court once again for those fees. On top of that reaching out to corporate about anything, you can forget about that. They take 2 weeks to respond back, IF they want to. Trash is always full (see photo and other reviews based on this issue).

3 Months passed after posting the below review. Problems still exist. Added a recent photo with timestamp as the proof that management is good for nothing. My friend Used to live at the Landing at Westmott Apartments. The Garbage and dumpster areas are always overflowing with trash. The apartment complex looks aesthetically appealing but it is poorly managed and expensive. Stay away!
