The Lakes Apartments

My experience working with the office personnel was a pure pleasure. They always treated me with respect and compassion, while at the same time being realistic with me. In the end I now have a beautiful apartment which my wife and I both love. I would highly recommend the Lakes and their personnel without a doubt. Great work! 😉

The Lakes is hands down Albuquerque’s best-kept secret 🙌 The value that you get for what you pay in rent is unlike anything I’ve seen around town. My friends are SPEECHLESS when they find out what I pay 😱. I live in a large apartment with strong security measures 🔐 including gate access and overnight security guards. There’s a hot tub 🛀 open year-round, not one, but TWO swimming pools, a game room 🎱, well-maintained common areas 🧹🧽, large mature trees providing plenty of shade 🌳, and of course, the beautiful and scenic LAKES 🦆 loaded with water features surrounded by flowers and lilipads 🪷. This place is very pet friendly, complete with a dog exercise area and lots of space and trails for dogs to walk along 🐶🐾. This place is an absolute hidden gem. I have nothing but good things to say about this apartment complex. Hidden away from the busy main ABQ roads, the Lakes is a super quaint and comfortable place to live. The grounds are beautiful, there are tons of amenities, constant security, grounds keepers etc. Nikki and the rest of the leasing team is amazing to work with. If you need anything or have in questions they’re happy to help. The apartments themselves are super comfortable. Appliances are replaced between residents, and things rarely break. I love living here!

I resided at the Lakes for exactly two years (Sep 2017- Sep 2019) as a single undergrad student attending UNM. When searching for the most ideal apartment, this place was able to meet most of my criteria: it was affordable, centrally located, and just far enough from the main campus to allow me an escape from the whole college atmosphere. That said, my experience wasn't at all bad while living here. I rented out the smallest single bedroom apartment available, which was still around 625 square ft; more than enough room for a single person with little furniture. Plus, I loved the 13 -14ft high ceilings that came with living on the third story. It's true the staff are quite nice, friendly and professional. Staff mbr Ameerah was most helpful, patient. The office graciously offers daily coffee, tea, lemon water and caloric treats for both human & doggies that tenants can help themselves to. The grounds appear clean and taken care of inside and out with staff that can be seen periodically picking up trash & doing maintenance. I love the fountain & lake with the landscape design of the plants & trees giving a park like atmosphere. The sound of water upon entering complex is immediately soothing. There's one little brown duck that swims & frolics in the lake every time l look. The security system installed to enter parking lot with security fencing along with required key to enter apt area is good-- providing more security than many
