The Julian Apartments

My partner and I have loved living at the Julian (~9 months). The units are very spacious (E loft), the appliances have been very reliable, and the amenities such as the gym and rooftop have been clean, functional, and safe. Pros: - Quality: The quality of our unit is fantastic. The natural light is amazing during the winter and really helps elevate the vibe and feel. The appliances have yet to fail us. - Staff: The staff have been very communicative about building events, safety alerts, building maintenance issues, etc. The maintenance team (Stephen) has also been extremely effective and expeditious when it comes to fixing small/large issues. - Amenities: The gym is a bit bare, but all the existing equipment is high quality and functional for a great workout. The rooftop is also great.

I can't say enough good things about this building. Great staff that makes you feel welcomed. Common areas clean and nicely furnished. The roof top is the BEST!

My spouse and I have lived here for the last 2 1/2 years. It's a great building in an awesome downtown location, staffed by incredibly helpful and kind people. The management and staff really go out of their way to make residents feel welcome - there are fairly regular resident appreciation events with food and drink, and the rooftop patio area has become our favorite spot for watching Red White and Boom or just relaxing after work. The building has a lot of character and charm and the light that comes in through our large living room windows is phenomenal. I agree with another reviewer that the HVAC and laundry units can seem a bit loud; I do think this has at least a bit to do with the acoustics that occur with hardwood floors and tall ceilings/lots of flat surfaces. I loved living at The Julian and would have happily stayed longer if not for some life events that necessitated a move. The historic building has amazing loft-style character—high ceilings, exposed mechanicals, huge windows, and quiet concrete floors. The location is super walkable to theaters, multiple restaurant and entertainment districts, and parks (your backyard is literally the Scioto Mile River Walk). Best of all, the management and staff (David, Amanda, and Francis) truly care and create an atmosphere genuinely committed to a positive resident experience. Regular resident social events are well attended, and there’s a great resident community that often socializes. Bonus points for the Starbucks barista machine in the lobby! My experience with the Julian has been great. Amanda has been very helpful and willing to answer any questions I have. The upkeep of the Community is always nice and welcoming. The apartments are all so different and beautiful. A very unique and historical piece of Downtown Columbus. Thank you
