The building is modern, the amenities are excellent, and the location in Manchester makes it easy to get downtown while still feeling like a comfortable community. I especially want to shout out Jeff in the front office – he is always friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful, from answering questions to making move‑in and day‑to‑day life here much smoother. Having staff like Jeff who genuinely care about residents is a big reason I’m happy to call The Jamestown home.”

I have been at this apartment complex for a year & I have always loved these apartment. The bad reviews are usually just people who expect 100% everything perfect as if everybody isn't human. New management has came & Nita has been the absolute best to me ! She has accommodated all my needs and wants and made sure my things were handled properly and in the time frame it was supposed to. I have seen major improvement since Nita has been in office & I always come down to talk to her. I enjoy seeing her face smiling everyday ! New management was definitely needed & I am happy with the people that are now here.

I have now been living at Jamestown Apartment Flats for one month, and I could not love it more. I adore my apartment and terrace; the warm, hospitable staff and daily maintenance are phenomenal; the amenities are top notch; and the interior design of common spaces as well as the landscape design are lush and beautiful. The location is fantastic; just about anywhere I want to go in Richmond is between 10-20 minutes. I have found my neighbors on the whole to be sweet and warm, as well (many are dog owners and I believe the two go hand in hand), so the experience of living here has so far been wonderful. As you can see, my babygirl Basset loves Jamestown, too 😊.

Nita is absolutely incredible. I've lived here for several years and experienced my fair share of issues during that time. However, the moment Nita came on board, everything changed for the better. Within just a month of her arrival, she had addressed and resolved all of my outstanding concerns. What sets Nita apart is her genuine care and approachability. She’s created an open-door environment where I feel completely comfortable stopping by—whether it’s to report a maintenance issue or just to decompress and chat about life. She actively engages with residents, asking for our input on community events and what we’d like to see more of—something I’ve never experienced at any other property. Beware: Illegal Fees and Ignored Legal Deadlines would think twice before applying here. We were denied based on a background check error where a traffic ticket (GT prefix) was misclassified as a criminal record (GC). Despite providing court proof, management refused to conduct an individualized assessment. More importantly, they are currently withholding $162.00 in fees. Under VA Code § 55.1-1203, application deposits must be refunded within 20 days of denial. Management (Jazzmine) is claiming it takes 30-45 days to mail a check for a payment we made via CARD. They also charged illegal 'convenience fees' without providing a no-fee payment option, which violates VA HB 2218. If you value your money and expect a management company to follow Virginia law, look elsewhere!!!!
