The Indi at Uptown Square

The leasing office team and the maintenance here make living here stressful and frustrating. Follow up is non-existent and if you want/need anything done you have to call them and do their job for them. There is no communication whatsoever. They are all incompetent and absolutely lazy. They have a huge office staff and none of them do their jobs. Maintenance can never fix anything correctly, then when they bring in vendors to do the job, it is still done incorrectly or the office does not properly communicate with them. This team doesn’t care and they should be embarrassed by themselves. Don’t rent here unless you can do your own maintenance. Also, Highmark, do you wonder why the renewal rates and occupancy rates here are awful? You have to chase the staff and do the leg work to even renew

I dont know why everyones hatin on this place like everywhere was screwed because of covid and i personally think its insane looking at other prices around town and what youd get for the same amount of money. My rent is low af and anything else like it in this area is small and generic. My friend was thinking about living here until she read the reviews and thats when i saw the stuff people were writing and had to laugh because these are literally ridiculous. If i need something and they dont answer guess what i do? Walk downstairs and ask. Problem solving people

This was one of the most absurd apartment-renting experiences I’ve ever had. The TL;DR version: don’t waste your time trying to work with their management team. Here’s why: First, I showed up to my appointment to view a few units at The Indi. I loved the aesthetic in their photos online and figured I’d give it a shot even though I had already read a ton of negative reviews. The manager who was assigned to help me that day had no knowledge of their available units, and I first had to walk her through what I was seeing on her website. She took about 4 trips back and forth from her managers office during this conversation to figure out which units they actually had available in the coming weeks. Elevator constantly broken, pipes leak in main hallway, bathroom ceiling flooded, laundry room constantly broken, most mail and packages get stolen, cars broken into in the garage…. and this was all in my first six months….. and my AC unit was broken from July till November…. still not sure it actually works.

Do not move here. I’ve lived here less than 6 months and have had two leaks from my ceiling. On top of that the laundry never works despite putting in work orders and the floors are extremely dirty as they are original from whenever the building was built. Packages always get stolen.
