The Huntington at Missouri City

Do not let your elderly parents live here! The complex is nice and is safe to my knowledge but they DO NOT cater to seniors as they once did. In fact, I was told the complex is now considered for Mature Living instead of Senior Living. My mother has been a resident since the complex opened. The rent seems to go up every time social security increases. There isn’t enough free parking spaces and the craziest part is, instead of accepting checks or money orders, they make the residents drive to Walmart or some 3rd party place or use an app to pay rent (plus fees). It’s really sad!

I assisted my uncle and aunt to apply for an apartment here. The application process was not too difficult and took about 10 business days. My uncle and aunt were very satisfied with the apartment. Melinda (spelling?) was exceptionally helpful and kind throughout the process. We're all looking forward to a good living experience at The Huntington!

I have lived here since November 2013 and my mother lived here from October 2013 until God called her home in 2023. I have been blessed to see management throughout the years and I must say I am extremely pleased with the current staff. My mother, was always treated with the utmost love and urgency for anything she called for. She always bragged to her sister or friends about the beautiful grounds and how sweet the office staff was. I have recently gotten remarried to a man that has a large beautiful home in the Richmond area and we chose to lease it out and continue to live here in the Huntington. All of our repairs are done in a very professional and timely manner. The staff is very knowledgeable. Needless to say, I would never live ANYWHERE I am unhappy with.

Update July 1st, 2025: The pool is "broken" on and off; Neighbors have broken garages for over 6 months; Outside lights have been off for several months; Francine has an ugly attitude with older adults; now they want older adults to use an app for parking and they are threatening to tow visitors; June 24, 2024 Report: Now they want us to pay for and put in our own light bulbs and batteries in the smoke detectors. We are too old to be climbing to replace batteries and bulbs! AND they (threatening us) want us to pay over $100 plus one month rent and attorney fees if the battery is not working! This should be the responsibility of the building maintenance crew. The residence entry gate is broken again on June 24, 2024. They are NEVER in the office during the posted times. Though they currently have a closed wait list, the ladies here were very helpful, well knowledged about the property as well as sister properties. Enjoy my visit at the Huntington, is a place that I can see myself living here, as it is very welcoming.
