The Hills at East Cobb

I’ve lived at this property for three years, and during that time I’ve gone through a lot of real-life ups and downs. What has stood out to me more than anything is the people who work here, especially Gina McLean. She is the General Manager and the true Director of Property Operations in every sense of the word. Gina doesn’t just run a building. She deals with residents’ struggles, daily issues, emergencies, staff, and every situation that comes through those doors. And somehow she does all of it with compassion, patience, and a calm spirit that brings comfort to people who are going through things they might not even talk about out loud. There were moments when I honestly did not know what the outcome of my situation would be. I felt overwhelmed, embarrassed, and unsure of what to do.

It's been almost a year since I moved here and I'm counting down the days until I can leave. When I moved in, it had good recommendations and it really seemed like a different kind of condo. But there's definitely no maintenance in this place. Everywhere you go, you see trash all over the condo. The trash, even near the reception area, has been there for weeks. The trash cans are always overflowing.

It’s been over a month since I’ve had mold growing in my apartment due to a pipe that burst in the walls ! My entire steps were soak and wet and I had to hop over the steps to access upstairs for weeks. They cut holes in the wall and the stair case and have not fixed it yet. I have toddlers and I sent an email a month ago to the manager stating that I was allergic to soy beans and Mold. I was told it would be fixed within 24 hours. It’s 30 days later. This is the 4th manager since I’ve been living here. I have not reside a whole two years yet. My first year ,I had two sink holes and the fire department had to come out due to my daughter and I falling in the hole. Management refuse to pay for my medical bills. Management is unprofessional. They said rent due the 4 each month and when I pay the 3 they charge me a late fee like I never saw a apartment charge late fee if you pay the 3 of the month. What the housing agent number cause they have to change there leasing papers or something. I never saw this before of any apartment. Since I move to ga, I been scam out of so much dollars and money now this. I really need to move back to New Jersey or something

This place is indicative of the general state of affairs as it pertains to apartment complexes throughout metro Atlanta. There's just no pride in product anymore. And that's across the board in America. Things are not what they used to be. You're getting less value for more money, period. This place is no different.
