The Hemlock

I rarely write a review, but I had to do this one to warn future residents. I recently moved out of this apartment. I really liked the unit itself, but the move-out process has been a terrible experience. They charged utility fees after I moved out, and trying to make the payment has been extremely frustrating. The office gave me a number to call to pay the bill, but it turns out that number no longer works with Hemlock. They redirected me to a new number, which also doesn’t work. In the meantime, they sent my information to a debt collector without my consent. They also never contacted me again about how to resolve the final bill, even though they said they would. I had to call them myself to follow up. Now they are telling me I have to come in person to pay with cash or check, which is h

Amazing apartment, horrible financial management. I lived here for two years and absolutely loved the unit but the financial terms are horrible. They charge you for utilities even after you move out, they don’t send you any invoices or any documents on what you paid for, and without even calling you they send your information to debt collectors. I even called them twice asking the manager to talk to me about the invoice. Never heard back.

Love this apartment! Our apartment unit was clean and appliances were new. The building itself feels new, cozy, and is filled with great amenities. Nikki was an amazing leasing agent and took very good care of us. She responded to inquiries immediately and even after moving in, she is very responsive and professional when helping us. Definitely recommend asking for Nikki when touring the units!!

Beautiful property, lack on quality. We moved in April 2024. Though new, not lived in the unit was dusty, massive dirt marks in toilets and showers/tubs, unfinished hardwood floors, globs of glue residue around window trims that we cleaned ourselves. Walls are not sound proof, you can hear neighbors upstairs and next door. New cohesive appliances that works amazing, fridge has ice maker that's shut off because other units caused water damage. Eco washer/dryer, needs multiple multiple rounds to dry clothes. Common areas are clean and sanitized weekly. Quarterly fire alarm inspections. They do give you notice but it's very loud; goes off every 10 minutes for few hours. $275 for garage parking, street parking is always packed after 5pm or nightmare after dark. As a person with an MFTE unit / a housing choice voucher recipient, I LOVE the Hemlock! I had no trouble with communication between the Hemlock and the Seattle housing authority and my unit is lovely. My ESAs also love it here! Overall, I just feel like they were so quick to accommodate me, and I also feel like this property treats its MFTE tenants/HCV recipients very well. I love all the amenities and the nice quality of the building!
