The Grove Apartments

We moved in 3 weeks ago. Love the area, close to parks, shops, and lake. Very good management, awesome amenities. Living in 60/40 housing is walking the walk.

This place has gone down hill and it went fast! Smh! I resided here and oh the stories I could tell. I'm GLAD I got out of this unsafe place when I did. I do NOT play about my safety when it comes to where I lay my head. And I did NOT feel safe there. My stability and my health come first. I did what I needed to do to protect myself. I left. I have YET to see my deposit back as well. I have been calling and calling and calling since I returned everything and cleaned out my unit and storage locker area. (I have photos and all documentation as well) But it doesn't surprise me. This new manager could be sitting on the other side of the door ignoring your knocking. And yet she blames it on her being SO BUSY because "prior Management's didn't do anything around there and she has SO MUCH to do.

The new Manager here is very rude. I was shown a beautiful apartment and then new Manager came in and said nope that's not in your price range. But I even told her that a lady in the office above her told me it was since these are section 42 houing. She said not that one. She is very rude to anyone that has a Voucher for housing. I wouldn't recommend this place

Lived there for one year. Had a gorgeous 2 bed 2 bath market rate apartment for $1670 a month. However, management and maintenance are totally non-responsive, and nothing ever gets done there. The common areas of the building are absolutely filthy. There was blood on the walls in the stairwell the day I moved in, and it was still there the day I moved out a year later. Someone vomited on the carpet in the stairwell, and it didn't get cleaned up for almost two weeks. There's no attention to things like the neighbors above me throwing furniture off the balcony; everything they threw off the balcony sat out in front of the building for about a month before someone took care of it. Great apt affordable rent but Maintence and office scarcely available and no bathtubs only showers in 1 bedrooms..IN THE LAST MONTH AND HALF BEFORE MOVING OUT POLICE RAIDED BUILDING THREE TIMES AND MANAGEMENT/MAINTAINCE WAS NEVER SEEN!!
