The Flats at CityPlace

We recently moved out after completing our lease and, unfortunately, our experience did not live up to the “luxury apartment” branding. The unit itself was acceptable, but the overall building management and resident experience fell far short of what you would expect from a property marketed as luxury. First, the building amenities were consistently disappointing. The gym setup is very basic and poorly maintained, which is surprising given how heavily it is advertised. Access doors and elevator scanners were frequently out of order, creating ongoing inconvenience and security concerns. During our move-out, there were no porter trolleys available; again, not what you expect from a luxury property where residents are paying premium rates. My son Andres and I recently toured The Flats, and it was an amazing experience. The new Property Manager Raul , was incredibly helpful, professional, and welcoming throughout the entire tour. My son is moving from Germany and was understandably a bit nervous about such a big transition, but Raul took the time to address all of his concerns and truly put him at ease. The building was exceptionally clean, and the amenities were absolutely top tier. My son will be applying later tonight—by far, Raul’s tour was the best experience we encountered in South Florida. BRAVO!

I just renewed my lease for another year and I’m very happy living here. I love that the community is pet-friendly, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and the amenities are awesome. I am very disappointed with the lack of maintenance and action from management. The elevator mechanism that allows access to floors 6 to 8 from Fresh Market is not working. Additionally, the fingerprint access system in the West Tower is also not functioning for floors 6 to 8. As a result, residents are forced to go down to the 5th floor and use the internal stairs to reach their apartments. This raises a serious concern: what is the purpose of having fingerprint access if anyone can reach any floor by entering from lower levels? This completely defeats the purpose of the security system. This issue has been ongoing for more than two weeks, and there has been no visible action taken to resolve it. Even worse, there has been no communication from management with a plan of action or timeline
