We moved in about 9 months ago, and unfortunately, our experience has been disappointing from the beginning. During the application process, the office was unresponsive we constantly had to go in person because calls and emails went unanswered. When we moved in, we immediately noticed multiple issues a leaking shower faucet, broken kitchen cabinets and drawers, a mold issue, a spider problem, and the carpets that had clearly not been cleaned. There was still hair and candy stuck to it from the previous tenant. Service requests were being closed without the issues actually being resolved. Our dishwasher didn’t drain properly, the fridge would randomly stop working, the dryer didn’t close or dry properly and the microwave wouldn’t spin or heat. These appliances were finally repaired or repl

We have experienced ongoing and serious issues throughout our time at this apartment complex. Nearly all appliances have had problems, and despite a malfunctioning water heater and air conditioning, our Dominion utility bills consistently exceed $300, which is unacceptable. Additionally, there have been repeated plumbing and sewage backup issues that directly impact the safety and livability of the apartment. These concerns have been reported multiple times, yet management continues to minimize the health risks associated with human waste exposure. We have given on-site staff, the property manager, and even the regional manager ample opportunity to resolve these issues. Instead of solutions, we were told to review our lease and pay a two-month termination fee if we wished to leave. This ex

I have been here for many years now. Most recently I have seen an uptick in the communication between the office and residents. I like that, very positive. Also, in the recent past the water main broke to the property. Lots of messaging to us about the issue and resolution. Additionally, they did drop off bottled water to each apartment. They did not have to do that, but it made me feel respected and concern about my well-being. I know the office personnel cannot be everywhere all the time, but there is a persistent issue with dog people letting their dog crap everywhere and not picking it up. I would hope that stricter consequences happed to those that offend. Would like to see more cameras on the property. Occasionally we get hit with vandalism and with no video, how will it stop

DO NOT MOVE HERE! Ever since Vest Residential took over, the complex has gone downhill. Residents are on their 5th day without water and the complex is doing NOTHING to accommodate residents for their basic needs. No showers, no flushing toilets, no cleaning dishes, etc. When you contact Vest, they DO NOT RESPOND, not to emails, phone calls, etc. To make matters worse, they never treated the parking lot before the snow storm and then finally got a plow to come days after when it was all ice. When the plow did come, it did a terrible job so residents were still stuck. This left residents unable to even get water for their families. The communication has also been awful throughout the whole situation. Ever since Vest Residential took over, the dumpster overflows like crazy. You can see hug

If you're looking for a beautiful and quiet place to live, right outside of DC - without feeling like you're right next to the hustle and bustle that comes with being next to DC - this is the property for you. The Encore is extremely well maintained with upgraded units ready for you to move into. The Property Manager, Sherry, and her entire team are exceptional in every way. They all work extremely hard to make sure their residents feel like they're a part of their community, rather than it just being another place to live. Highly recommend!!
