The Elms at Signal Hill Station

⭐☆☆☆☆ (1 Star) I would not recommend this property based on my move-out experience. At move-in, the carpet was newly installed. At move-out, I was charged $100 for a doorway carpet separation that is clearly the result of improper installation — not tenant damage. The area in question was a failed seam at a transition, something that does not occur under normal residential use when carpet is installed correctly. I have over 20 years of experience in the flooring industry and own multiple flooring stores. This was not caused by “pulling” or misuse. It was an installation deficiency. Instead of acknowledging workmanship responsibility, management relied solely on move-in photos and declined to reconsider. My stay was fine overall, but the move-out handling changed my impression completely. I received a charge at the end of my lease that I believe was unjustified. I attempted to resolve it respectfully and in good faith, but the decision was upheld without meaningful review. Fairness at move-out matters, and unfortunately that was not my experience here.

My stay was uneventful until move-out, when I was assessed a charge I believe was unjustified. I made every effort to resolve the matter respectfully, but management stood by their position without meaningful reconsideration. The way this was handled left a very negative impression. I would advise future renters to find somewhere else.

This is my second Elms community and I’ve loved both. The apartments are beautiful. I’ve lived in a 2-bed, a 1-bed, and now a 2-bed with a loft, and every one has been great. The staff is awesome and the whole community just feels like home.

I have been living at The Elms at Signal Station for about a year. I have nothing but great things to say about the complex and community. The maintenance and leasing office staff always went above and beyond to make sure my concerns and needs were addressed. The team has been super helpful and welcoming throughout my time here. The units are well-kept and the new appliances are great! I found myself cooking in the kitchen more often as a result. If you have a dog, this is a vibrant community with plenty of green space and pet-friendly amenities. Overall, I’ve truly enjoyed living here and would highly recommend The Elms at Signal Station to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-managed, and friendly place to call home.
