The Eight Forty Apartments

First let me start off with the location. It is located next to brackenridge / davis park and has a wonderful view of the nature and the horizon skyline of downtown from the windows! Looks good at night especially at night from the steps. The ceilings are 15' ft tall with concrete floors with a ecobrutalist yet modern feel to the units. You have easy access to the highways, college campuses, the pearl brewery and food places right on Broadway. This place has private parking, private mailroom, and elevator. The apartment manager Deborah always has events planned for every holiday / season. One of my favorite places to live downtown!

I have been a resident of the 840 for 3+ years; previous renting was at universities and off campus apartments. The apartments are clean with cement floors. The absence of carpeting means that previous residents with pets will not be leaving mementos of their pets in the carpeting for the next residents. The apartments are relatively new (4 yrs old) with modern appliances. Residents have generally been quiet. Heating/cooling are controlled in each unit by the resident. Andrea Sanchez has managed the apartments since the second year of operation and has done an excellent job. She ensures that maintenance keeps the grounds and apartments clean, and this in addition to the valet trash collecting three times per week. I went into the eight forty last week with hope that find my dream downtown apartment. As hispanic woman who not speak too much english Aundria did the best job to communicate with me by using the translation app on the phone. She really convinced me this my new home.

Manager is never there. We put in an application with a deposit and now she no longer answers our calls. I felt I was discriminated due to race I was not approved

Have leased this community many times, and have yet to have a client have any issues, in fact, they love the util bills and the walkability. Def a must see!
