We were looking at renting an apartment for my daughter at the Edison. We are from out of state and would not be able to make a visit to check out apartments so we had a lot of questions and asked to see photos of the unit. At first we loved speaking with the staff as they seemed very helpful and answered basic questions, but asking for photos seemed like a big ask, and they could not supply us with any, only a simple floor plan. They knew our situation and we thought would help us out and be honest and caring knowing we were coming sight unseen. The photos we did see were simply the ones on the website. The apartment was in our budget, and close to VCU where my daughter would be attending so we went ahead and applied. While waiting to be approved we came to accidentally find out that the

I recommend the Edison Apartments. These are very stylish units. New stuff (appliances/showers, etc). Very polished and minimalist look which is what I love. Hard stone floors. Great AC/Heat control. Wifi is insanely good. I absolutely loved living here. I had a studio with tall ceilings, in unit washer and dryer: literally everything I needed and it was the best priced Studio I found in the city. The only reason I moved out is because I moved to D.C., otherwise, I would have loved to stay. I could have probably stayed here the rest of my life. Maiya Smith, the manager at the Edison is always a highly professional presence, and she and other staff are attentive during business hours. She gets things done swiftly and smoothly. Maiya and other staff definitely made this place feel like hom

This review is specifically towards working with Dominique. I had an ongoing issue that was brushed off for 2 months. However, Dominique was new on staff and the very first time I mentioned it to him he was attentive, listened, followed up WITHIN THE HOUR. The following day he sent documents, reviewed emails, spoke with me in person, and spoke with me over the phone for nearly 40 minutes explaining the issue. I was admittedly frustrated with the issue and how it was managed initially HOWEVER during my entire encounter with Dominique he was respectful, patient, professional, kept a positive and joyful tone and seemed to genuinely care about trying to help me resolve and understand the issue. With him on the management team, he will do what he can to rectify the situation and/or break it dow

Did not disclose important information about windows after being asked numerous times. Felt like we were asking the world for simple photos, details and measurements. Has now been over a month since I requested a refund and no one has been in contact with me. I was so overcharged for submitting my application.

Unsafe, poorly managed, and overwhelming maintenance issues — avoid if you can. Living at this apartment complex has been a deeply frustrating experience. While the maintenance staff are helpful, courteous, and respond quickly, they are clearly understaffed and overwhelmed by the sheer volume of issues. The real problem lies with management, which is inattentive, unresponsive, and consistently fails to address the root causes of ongoing problems. There have been multiple break-ins in the building and garage, and residents' belongings have been stolen. Despite repeated concerns, management has done nothing meaningful to improve security. Homeless individuals frequently gain access to the building and sleep in the hallways and parking lot, making the environment feel unsafe for tenants. Ag
