Leasing my first apartment on my own could have easily felt overwhelming, but my experience at The Eastern on Tenth has genuinely exceeded my expectations. It has been better than anywhere I’ve lived before and better than most places I’ve even interacted with. From the front office to the maintenance team, professionalism and respect have remained consistent. Not every situation is simple (and navigating my first place definitely came with a learning curve), but every request I’ve submitted has been handled promptly with clear communication and follow-through. That reliability makes a meaningful difference, especially as a first-time solo renter. When I moved in, I didn’t know much about apartment living. It truly was a learn-as-I-go experience. Whether it involved pest control, routine
Lived here in 2024-2025. This apartment is very nice and modern. I did enjoy the living space. However, the amount of times the leasing office entered my apartment unannounced with no email or no phone call is what completely put off me from the place. I was once just getting out of the shower nobody knocked on the door or anything, and I heard the front door unlock open and then close again. At this time, I lived alone and old tenants are required to turn in their key fobs so the only people who have access to your apartment or the maintenance man and those from the leasing office. There were multiple times when the leasing agent would visit my apartment and if you don’t answer the door fast enough for their liking, they will let themselves in. There was also another instance where the le
I want to give a HUGE shout-out to Destiny, our maintenance superstar. She is truly one of the hardest-working people I’ve ever met. Any time something needs attention, she’s on it immediately, and she always goes above and beyond to make sure everything is done right. What really makes Destiny stand out, though, is her personality. She’s incredibly friendly, patient, and kind every single time you see her. She has such a warm, positive presence that she instantly brightens your day, whether she’s fixing something or just passing by. Our community is genuinely better because of her. She deserves all the appreciation in the world. Thank you, Destiny, for everything you do!
Always maintenance issues. Took 3 months to get a dishwasher repaired. Pool closed constantly, elevator issues, leaks, among many other things. Not pleasant to work with. Notified them of moving out, signed me up for a second year lease, even though it wasn't wanted. Sent to collections for $8100, with not one, but TWO collection agencies, so $16200 now on collection report for a year of lease that I didn't even sign up for. Never returned $750 deposit, even though room was 100% returned in the proper condition. Find somewhere else to live at all costs to avoid headaches.
Charged us $150 for leaving our inside stools on our balcony by accident for a night. Half of the appliances end up breaking. They gave me the wrong key when I first moved in and had to wait for the maintenance man. They inspect the house and do repairs without notifying you. You get maybe three knocks before they barge in. So random people just come in whenever without notifying you. Save yourself the trouble. Also a roaches everywhere when we first moved in. Not a good place to live, the chances of moving out without a random fine/fee they made up is impossible.
