The Dunbar Apartments

No hot water and no heat, especially throughout winter.. Get ready to call 311 all day, every day. They lure you in with “rent stabilized”, but it’s a total scam. No super. Terrible rusted plumping, with brown water running through the showers. Bathroom ceiling broke in with pouring water. Poor management and act like robots whenever you address major issues. Couldn’t take it after 2 years and RAN as fast as I could.

Living here has been an absolute nightmare. Management takes forever to send maintenance to do a crappy job and not fix the problems. The building itself is disgusting. Trash and food everywhere. There a huge roach and ant problem. No matter how much poison and repellent I put around they just fund their way in the apartments. The floors aren’t aligned properly, the caulking melted off within 4 days, the walls are so thin, everything from the piping to the walls are moldy as hell, the apartment is cheaply constructed. It has the shittiest landlord renovation ever. This complex is a genuine nightmare and is extremely hazardous, the only thing keeping me here is how broke I am. Please do not move here, go somewhere downtown. You’re better off spending $6,000 a month on rent than to spend $3

If I would have listen to these reviews I would have missed out ! Idk maybe not all buildings is the same . As for my unit I haven’t seen not one single mouse or evidence of one I even put food in my cupboard no mouse or mice has tampered with it . No roaches , no bed bugs , we have hot water and it gets very hot all the time all day . One thing I can be honest about is this unit came with ants little black ants ! That’s the only issue but that can be solved . Other than that it’s quiet here , laundry on site all brand new and it’s quite affordable too. School right across the way , the deli that’s in the front of the building or in the building however wanna put it the guy is so nice and treats you like family . Park right across the street also have a court . The area is convenient. The

Roaches, mice, people stealing your packages, leaking roof, squirrel in the wall keeping you up.. always problem with the hot water, drains always back up. Great looking in from the outside but once your live there you see all the problem.
