I’ve had a very positive experience with the leasing office staff renewing my lease (despite the crazy $400 increase) at 20 Exchange Pl. Everyone I interacted with (especially Katherine) was very kind, empathetic, responsive, and professional. I would have probably given a 5 stars for this reason. However, I’m very disappointed by the lack of transparency around the mandatory 95$/month "amenities" fee, buried deep in the lease and not clearly communicated upfront. I've been living in the building since 2019, never used the gym, and barely the lounge (except during the Covid lockdown during a limited period of time) so I would much prefer an opt‑in system with clear access (card/code) rather than being automatically charged for services I don’t intend to use. Drew is an incredibly warm and helpful team member who truly understands that people are not just looking for an apartment, but for a place to call home. From the very beginning, he approached us with genuine care and guided us thoughtfully through the process. He took the time to explain every detail about the building and the apartment clearly and patiently, making sure we felt informed and comfortable at each step. Drew’s attitude, attention to detail, and willingness to help made a stressful process much easier. I was very disappointed with this company. They pressured us to move in immediately (or we would lose our apartment) even though we clearly told them we would be out of the country on a business trip during that time. They just wanted to start charging rent before we could even get into the unit. We asked for a simple two-week extension because of our travel schedule, and they didn’t care at all. Katherine, their staff member, was rude and pushy the entire time. She said she was repeating what her supervisors told her, but we honestly believe it was just her being nasty. She unloaded her personal frustration on tenants, and it showed. Her supervisors need to investigate how she communicates with clients because this is not professional. Building amenities and architecture is amazing. The views even better. They thought of everything. The leasing team stayed within my budget and showed me the best of what was available, didn’t rush me, and gave me great pointers relocating cross country. Needless to say I found something perfect for my pup and I and applied as soon as possible.

We just moved from another country and didn't know what to expect in terms of housing in NYC. We ended up signing a lease with an apartment managed by Dermot, and were pleasantly surprised by our experience! We felt absolutely taken care of by Tiffany Gorritz and her team who were so welcoming and warm. They made the move such a breeze and settling into a new city a comfortable and positive experience.
