The Depot at Old Santa Fe

For 2 weeks now in building 5 the fire alarm goes off in the entire building for at least 20 mins. There is never a fire but it constantly goes off throughout the day. I work 2 jobs and I’m not able to come home and have a good nights rest because at 5/6am the fire alarm begins to go off. The office has been contacted numerous times and nothing has been done about it. It is so frustrating and even driving me insane to be constantly woken up by an VERY loud alarm. I would not recommend these apartments to anyone due to the lack in urgency to fix issues. We are forced to pay rent in a home we can’t even sleep in peacefully which is ridiculous.

I applied in September got “approved” in October they said my unit would be ready in November. When November came they told me the unit wasn’t ready and I had to wait until December. December came now the lady I was working with got fired. So now I’m working with a new lady, she telling me everything still good and she got a different unit for me but I have to wait until Jan (mind you I been waiting on a unit since NOVEMBER) . It’s about to be Feb the new lady I was working with “is no longer there” and they talking about they LOST MY FILE… 5 months later 2 different ladies & still no place 🤦🏾‍♀️

I really wanted to love The Depot Apartments because the staff is very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, my overall experience so far has been frustrating. I applied last week and was told midweek that I needed to come in to sign some documents. They randomly scheduled me for 1 p.m. on Friday, but after I explained I couldn’t make that time, I asked if I could come a little after 4. I never received confirmation despite emailing and texting. I didn’t hear back until Saturday afternoon. When I was finally able to come in on Monday before 4, I signed the papers and expected to pay my application fee so the process could move forward. Instead, I was told the computers were down and to come back the next day. I did, but the computers were still down and no one had responded to my texts.

They are accepting and approving people with ZERO estimate on when they can move! They don’t answer the phone anymore and it’s takes a few days for someone to return an email. Me and my family have been approved for a three bedroom, two bathroom apartment. When asked about a security deposit or a move in date they say they dont have “possession” over their own properties or the construction isn’t finished. I’ve been waiting for MONTHS to move my kids into their new home and all they say is wait 2/3 months.
