This building has absolutely useless management to the point where it basically does not exist. If you have any issues, just know in advance: they are YOUR problems, not management’s. They will not help you, they will not act, and they will not even bother replying to emails. The management office is almost never present, so forget the idea that there is anyone actually overseeing this building. There is zero control, zero accountability, zero response. People openly smoke weed and cigarettes inside apartments and in the stairwells, and nobody does anything about it. At 420 E 102nd Street, apartment 10D, people moved in 8 months ago and turned their apartment into an illegal workshop. HELLO MY NAME IS LISA LEWIS AND ON SUNDAY I LEFT MY APARTMENT TO GO TO THE SUPERMARKET DOWN STAIRS TO BROOKLYN HARVEST WHEN I RETURN TO MY APARTMENT SOMEONE HAD TROWN PISS YES URINE ON THE CARPET INFRONT OF MY APARTMENT DOOR 🚪 SO I WENT DOWN STAIRS TO THE SECURITY GUARD STATION AND REPORTED IT THE SMELL WAS SOOOO STRONG I HAD TO USE AMONIA FOR TWO DAYS STRAIGHT TO CLEAN IT UP NOBODY FTOM MANAGEMENT REACHED OUT TO ME ABOUT THE MATTER WITH ANY TYPE OF CONCERN NOT MARTHA NOT LEO NO ONE ON TO PF THAT FOR THE LAST 2 DAYS THE MARIJUANA SMOKES HAVE BEEN SO HEAVY IM USING MY PUMP SO THAT I CAN BREATHE I REACHED OUT TO SECURITY DOWN STAIRS I CAME HOME TODAY THE HEAT WAS TURN ON IN MY APARTMENT THE WINDOW WAS OPEN ABD MY CLOTHES IN THE CLOSET WAS MESSED UP I KEEP EVERY THING VERY VERY NEAT I CAN

I don’t even know where to begin with the absolute incompetence of building management. Here’s a great example attached of a heat issue we had in our unit (heat would not turn off with temperatures in bedrooms of over 80 degrees) - it took over a month of back and forth with the super to resolve (because they straight up weren’t reading emails or communicating information to maintenance that an external vendor needed to be contacted to resolve the issue). FIVE different maintenance staff showed up at our door on different occasions with zero context of the issue, leaving every time telling us the super needed to contact an external vendor to resolve. They also shut us out from doing any lease transfers, to replace our roommate who was moving out - essentially forcing us to leave the apar

They have laundry facilities in each building, but two are closed for over a year and choose not to open them. Forcing three buildings to use one laundry facility. And they are now making people pay outrageous utility expenses that they never had to pay when they signed their leases.

I have loved living here. I would recommend this complex to anyone moving in the area.
