The Cascades Apartments

If I could give zero stars, I would. This place is an absolute robbery for what it is. You find out about more and more surprises the longer you stay. No one will tell you half these apartments burned down about 6 years ago. Maintenance will be required at your unit about once or twice every month. You’re not allowed to have more than two guests. You’re not allowed to use the community room they show you past 5 pm or with more than two guests. No bbq grills. Have a cat? It’s a $500 deposit along with a monthly charge. Like ants? They’ve got plenty year round here. Your rent will be about $80-$90 more per month than what you’ll agree on. Sure they,l tell you it’s in the fine print, but it just voids decency all together. We lived there less than a year. In that time we constantly had maintenance staff in and out for so many different reasons (none requested by us) not being able to park by our apartment due to repaving twice. Had to be evacuated from the fires (which found out that the apartments had burned down previously) and to top it off, the reviews that they rip you off with the deposit is 100% true. I scrubbed our place from top to bottom (with pictures to prove it) on top of always caring for the apartment on a daily basis. They gave us $1....ONE dollar back. there was one small damage, that had obviously been repaired prior to us moving in, because the design or the doors is bad and it is going to be an on going issue. You can see what I’m talking about in the photos. What a joke.

Update: Months later and nothing has been resolved. They haven't taken our concerns seriously at all. Management has failed us and the community. This isn't the luxury apartment complex the website promises. I've been living here for almost two months and I've had to deal with second hand smoke every single day. Residents smoke marijuana openly from their garage every single day. The smoke infiltrates my apartment including my kids bedroom. It is very unfortunate that the families in the community have to deal with this on a daily basis. I would highly encourage people looking at these apartments to look elsewhere. I do not recommend this apartment complex. We lived there for over a year and encountered numerous problems. We had to deal with two floods due to an outdated and barely functional pipe system. Additionally, we faced a mice infestation, with rodents entering through the fireplace. There were also large dogs frequently walked off-leash, which made the environment feel unsafe. I even noticed dead mice around the complex and saw someone spraying something in the early morning hours. The leasing office staff is unfriendly, and you won’t feel welcomed here. When we switched to a month-to-month lease, they started charging us over $3,500 per month. I couldn’t wait to leave this poorly managed complex!

Living here was the worst experience ever, the manager the office will drive around I. Her golf cart and stand near your apartment to see what you are doing, they don’t care about anything. If you have a complaint they wouldn’t care if you have one. My neighbor upstairs would be making noise till 3 am. After asking to be moved they wouldn’t help you move. The gate is always open and people come in to sell drugs and you don’t feel safe at all. When I moved in it was beautiful but after a while you see things changed a lot. Always people who live I up in the hills come down to use the dog park and leave a mess. You wouldn’t feel comfortable here. They have every poor management here and the maintenance staff are on it then the office staff, also the manager will drive in her car looking at
