When I first saw a two-bedroom unit available on Zillow, I reached out to the sales team. I spoke with Brandon, and we talked for almost an hour. During that call, we even went on Google Maps together, and he pointed to the exact unit that supposedly had a balcony facing the trees — two units over from Parking Gate 1. I have two service dogs, so a balcony was extremely important. He guaranteed me that this unit had one. Then I spoke with Fabian regarding the air conditioning setup. Since I have a French Bulldog and an English Bulldog, proper AC is essential. Fabian told me he had reached out to the team on-site, and they confirmed the unit had central AC. Shiny coat of paint, but a terribly run building. After renovating the lobby for staff use only in 2020, they decided to fire all building management and go to a remote team who is managing several other properties, not knowing what is happening in their own building. Sometimes they'll tell you they're aware that it's illegal that they're renting out the building as an Airbnb and they're ending it, sometimes they decide to be fully unaware and ignore the issue. These hotel rooms in the building make noise at night and building safety a major issue. I've seen people beaten into a puddle of blood in the courtyard, packages stolen and unhoused people residing in the garage with the belongings that residents store in their parking spaces. Overall Good place to live. Busy location makes it a little chaotic from 4-9, and location also makes it expensive. Construction is finally coming to an end thank goodness. The mail situation is also kinda tiresome. I wish packages would just come directly to the door, lots of issues with package theft and it's easy for something to get lost into the sea of things. The people who live above me have some serious issues (that's not the blake's fault.) The rooftop view is amazing, and if you like Melrose this is the prime location. Stores like vivienne westwood are a nice sight and kind of a nice reminder that you are in such a good spot. One parking spot per unit. (not sure if you can purchase another.) I absolutely have nothing but best experience living here with Beautiful and brand new gym,etc.. everybody in a management is so helpful. Specially. Josue thank you so much it’s been nothing but great experience with you! And our building supervisor Bobbi thank you so much for working so hard and he really manages this building really well with his team. It’s very friendly area and also, if there’s any problem, they fix it right away, which I really love! 🩷 And lastly, I’m so grateful who actually who help me moved in here her name is Sherrell thank you so much!! With outstanding leadership I feel safe and loving, living here so thanks everyone if anyone wants to check it out I highly recommend 733 North Kings Rd.

I've lived at The Blake LA apartments for about 7 yeas now and love it here. The location is perfect for walking around Melrose shops and restaurants and is just down the street from a grocery store. I've seen a lot of positive changes over the past several years and the management team is absolutely wonderful (Garry, the Community Manager, and Sherrell, the leasing specialist, are the kindest and most competent people you will meet). They are so helpful and friendly and easy to contact which is a huge plus. Also, the maintenance team and process for submitting requests is so fast (same day repairs most of the time!) and helpful. I really love the community feel here. I know my neighbors and there are a lot of dog parents in the building who are so friendly and looking out for each other.
