The Beach

UPDATE: Management lied to us and told us they were going to be "repairing" the stairs, making it sound as if it would be a short, minor inconvenience. It wasn't until 4 DAYS before major demolition was being done that they admitted that there was a DIFFERENT plan and they were tearing down a good portion of this iconic, award winning apartment complex, hauling away the substantial stairs and "adobe" surrounds, then replacing all of it with black metal ghetto stairs that are being slapped onto the side of the buildings like an afterthought. It DOESN'T fit the design of the place, it ruins the aesthetic, and it will make this place an ugly sister to the beautifully designed and maintained Biopark across the street, and the serene, tree-studded golf course on the back side. I really enjoyed my time at The Beach. I had a 3 bedroom and 2.5 bath penthouse. The unit was very spacious with tall ceilings. There was a nice patio to sit outside and enjoy the sunset. My favorite feature was the Crows nest. I enjoyed going up to the roof to enjoy a view Albuquerque and the Sandias. The property is very clean and quiet. I had very friendly neighbors with no issues. It was also nice walking the grounds and saying "hi" to people. I think the floor plan was priced very well. I even had a garage (which I highly recommend as parking can be a pain). Gina (the property manager) was always friendly to me and said hi. We had a good rapport and she was always willing to help, especially with work orders and maintenance. So I never even got the chance to live here but still dealt with this apartment complexes nonsense. I was put on their “waitlist” for a nonqualifying income restricted apartment. This complex has both income and non income restricted. 3 years ago I had serious interest in the apartments and the lovely manager in their had a notebook of names and numbers of people who were interested in both. She put my name down with my number and advised she’d call me when something opens up. Flash forward three years later. I was looking for an apartment again and called them up see if that waitlist was still going and if I was closer to the top etc. I got the rudest person ever on the line who clearly thought I was truly an inconvenience just to have called her. She explained there is no such waitlist

Been a resident at the beach for about a year now. Moved from another location due to the horrible staff at the previous property. I can honestly state that this was one of the easiest move in’s I’ve ever experienced. Adriana and her staff have been professional and very pleasant to work with. They have always been very helpful and knowledgeable with any questions I bring forth. They keep the residents up to date with any problems within the property that might arise, they’re very informative and on top of any work orders I’ve placed. If you’re looking for a property with friendly, caring and professional staff I highly recommend living at The Beach!
