The Barrington

We have only been here 8 months, but would recommend the Barrington to anyone. Maintenance is on point! We are serial renters and good maintenance is hard to find! Office personel were great aswel. Location is great, almost a hidden gem tbh.

The apartment is good and environmentally friendly, and the tour guy (Thomas) was wonderful, but I hope someone can respond to a phone call promptly. Overall, I like the view from the apartment balcony. You need to improve your return-call time ASAP.

I really wanted to like The Barrington. But it's a problem after another. Really frustrated with the time i've spent here. From dryer not working, washer not being installed, a missing kitchen drawer for over 3 months, balcony screen not even properly installed (just propped it up against the door and marked my maintenance request as complete so I installed the OLD screen door back on myself (even though they said they'd get a new replacement), water leaking through the roof and walls in the master bathroom (they'll fix after we move out), and AC not working properly for over 2 weeks (we had an emergency maintenance request and instead of taking care of it right away maintenance decided to handle it unprofessionally) and waiting on them caused my electricity bill for August to be over $300

Update: Though the timing took longer than expected I am happy to say that the staff has been very professional and helpful once we were able to talk in person. The work order system process unfortunately did not get the work orders done and I had to reach out for each item individually. The maintenance worker I spoke with (Max) was very professional, friendly and efficient with the work being done. I am unsure if the work order system has an issue or something else, but I am impressed with the effort that has put into helping us take care of our apartment issues enough to update this review. I lived at The Barrington for approximately two years. I first lived in a two bedroom two bathroom, which was $1,700 a month. That unit had flooding problems and we went at least a month without heat/AC. They let me move to a one bedroom one bathroom unit down the hall, which was about $1,200 a month for a 14 month lease. This unit was fine. Nice patio and faced trees. Maintenance guys and Thomas in the office were always very polite and helpful. My big issue with the unit was the amount of mold I came across. I have noticed since moving out that I don't have as many headaches and sinus problems when I wake up in the morning. I'm relieved that I'm not living in the unit anymore simply based on that.
