📍 545 Vanderbilt Avenue, also known as The Axel, is a 29-story luxury apartment building in Brooklyn's Prospect Heights neighborhood. Designed by Morris Adjmi Architects and completed in 2022, the residential tower has 284 units and features a distinctive "twisting" design with floor-to-ceiling windows. Staff are absolutely lovely, from the door-person to maintenance. The same cannot be said for the live-in superintendent/manager. The building has great facilities and is almost always clean, although the main entrance key-fob and the elevator system will test your patience.

As a resident of The AXEL Building located in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, NYC, "I " & " WE THE PEOPLE" of The Axel building have been subjected to incessant aggravated pounding noise disturbances due to an unauthorized -undisclosed gym located directly above all apartments on the 4th floor. Before moving in, I was never informed that my home would be beneath a commercial-residential facility that generates constant loud and disruptive noises. My story is the same for many others who reside in the building on the 4th and -6th floors, whether they are part of the Housing Connect Lottery or market-rate tenants. Beautiful apartment in a wonderful neighborhood. Also love the management that took over 5-6 months ago (William especially). Good choice for Prospect Heights / Clinton Hill area.

My experience with the team at The Axel—specifically Will—was amazing, and like a breath of fresh air. Will was very communicative about the process and moved very quickly to get me into an apartment in a couple of days, at a time when I really needed it. The units are beautiful and reasonably priced, too So thankful I found them!!
