Tavin Apartments

I haven’t rented yet, but I looked at all the units in my price range, and I’m completely sold. I’m so excited to make Tavin my new home. The place looks and feels very well maintained, and the amenities are top-notch. Compared to my current apartment, the units are noticeably more spacious and modern. The building itself is secure, clean and well-lit, with thoughtful touches like a game room (seriously, a catering microwave?! Insane). What really stands out is how complete the package is. The apartments come with stainless-steel appliances, quartz countertops, and in-unit washer/dryer, not to mention big closets, modern flooring, and keyless-entry doors. I don't live here, but I have family who does, and they freaking love it! From a visitor standpoint I want to share my experience (having lived in some wild apartment in the past). First, the location is awesome. It's close enough to the surrounding cities to eliminate the lengthy traffic driving, but far enough that the concerning parts of the city are not at your front door. The apartment itself is open, their floor plan is comfortable and classy. Side note to all coffee loving Seattlites- their lobby has an AMAZING coffee/espresso station! Their gym is stacked, which feels necessary considering Dominos is right next door. The staff is so friendly and engaging. They have definitely created a welcoming and safe environment. Our oldest has said she'll be moving here when she graduates lol.

Would give zero stars if I could. Truly thought about leasing here until one of the staff members was trying to put a sign away outside and insisted walked I passed her (I was about 10 feet away from her at least and she was nearly inside already). I told her that I would didn’t mind waiting because my dog likes to jump on these concrete cubes that are on the sidewalk out front to practice his agility training.(we would have and did wait regardless as my dog is learning to allow people to pass without acknowledging them) She then proceeded to yell at me that that’s not for dogs it’s for people. I just moved into this apartment recently and feel obligated to share a serious concern. The gym is newly built or recently renovated, but there is a very strong chemical / formaldehyde-like odor throughout the space. The smell is immediately noticeable upon entry and is overwhelming and irritating, making the gym uncomfortable and, in my opinion, potentially harmful to health. What is especially disappointing is that the building does not appear to have a proper fresh-air or ventilation system to address this issue. Several days have passed since I moved in, yet the odor has not improved at all. The gym don't have window to open. Due to health concerns, I have had to completely stop using the gym, which effectively means paying for an amenity that cannot be safely used. For a property tha
