Tarzana Courtyard

My sister lives here but I handle her income, expenses, bills, etc. There are so many issues (including a resident pushing her) but the current one is about billing. I called the manager about it. Alex in the office assured me he'd look into it. After multiple calls, he told me they'd figure it out "by Friday." This was several weeks ago. I have called repeatedly, then began calling customer service of the owners, Goldrich Kest. I also emailed customer service at GK and copied multiple executives. No response. Briefly, they appear to have illegally charged her a $30 fee. I'm assuming multiple tenants at Tarzana Courtyard and other GK properties (the letter is on GK letterhead) have been charged as well. I am a recent former tenant and happy to write this review for anyone thinking of renting. Here are some things that a quick walk through of the building will not reveal. Tenants were informed in an informal lobby meeting recently that this is no longer a senior building. No more Section 8, etc. Rules in my lease are not enforced by the current management. The management of this building has deteriorated greatly and I list below some of the things that make this building an unpleasant place to live. 1. Personal outside plants were to be limited to the existing flower beds for obvious safety reasons. This is no longer the case.
